Chapter lll

It was time for their heist, in the dead of night. They tracked down his apartment building. And of course eda made Raine change out of their cop uniform.  "Okay... Where do we go?" Raine asked in a whisper. "Go up.. " they climbed up a ladder and climbed through a window. Eda made a sign with her hands to tell Raine to be quite, and they started searching around. They didn't find anything at first. "Eda I can't find anything"     "look by his bed or something"  Raine went over, then saw the key on his neck. Then waved over to eda. Pointing down at it. Eda shrugged, so Raine tried to untie it. Eda then tossed Raine a pocket knife. Which they barley caught. They cut the key off their neck.  And showed it to her. She gave them a thumbs up and started leaving the room, but eda went back to write the word " sucker" on his forehead in a permanent marker.   They left out the front door of the room then out a separate window, and hurried back to Raines apartment.  Eda spun around in relief,then was picked up by Raine. "H-hey!! Put me down!" She laughed. "Nope! Celebration! We did it!!" Raine cheered spinning her around. "Ahhhh!!! Raine stop!! " eda screamed playfully.  Raine eventually did put her down. And now it was time to go on the next faze. Eda got the location of where the jewel was and they drove over, now with the key they could open the safe. But they had to sneak in. When they arrived, era was highly offended. "Are you kidding me!? This looks like some shit from a billion movie! In NO way is this Inconpicuos!"  Eda complained. "Well that's good for us then, it makes it easier" Raine told her. "I would have at least appreciated a challenge" she responded as they entered. They decided to split up, era would go for the jem while Raine would take pictures of anything else incriminating. Eda walked through the halls carefully, although there were no guards, no defenses, she was highly disappointed. Which let her assume they were going to her the jem to fund this place, make it like a criminal base. Then she heard foot steps comming her way. She hid in a separate hallway, another reason she wore black. "Man! This place is gonna look so cool when Eric sells that gem!" Eda rolled her eyes at the lack of skill but went on. Eventually she found a small room and the safe was on a pedestal. She sighed but got out her lock pick. Just as she started she beard a gun click behind her. "Back away from the safe" "damnit... " eda said to her self  then turned around. Eric looked her up and down then said. " I didn't know pretty girls were criminals " eda cringed at such a comment. "Ew, dude your 33..and not my type"   Eric tied her to a chair with rope next to the safe. "This is so cliche... You guys have no creativity what so ever" she groaned.  Eric left and all eda could think about was Raine. If they found her they might have Raine as well. Meanwhile Raine was taking a few photos. Raine walked around for a while, then heard somebody behind them, "drop it cop!" Raine froze and thought of something eda taught them a long time ago, Raine turned around slowly,then chucked their gun at the man head. "Ow!! Damnit!" He yelled Raine picked up their gun and ran, Raine then called for backup. "This is officer whispers! We need back up!" They kept running When they heard a gun click echo through the halls. They immediately started running hoping eda was okay.  They turned a few halls and eventually heard eda voice. "Honestly.. This is the lamest evil plan iv ever heard.. They left their damn finger prints on the tools and had no defenses what so ever!" Raine chuckled and ran over to the sound of her voice.  Then saw her tied up. Then used the pocket knife she gave them earlier. "Calamity you are.. The loudest complainer iv ever known" they teased. "Oh god! Raine I'm so glad your okay right now" Raine cut the ropes and eda stood up.  "Calamity.. I promise when this is all over I'm taking you out" eda turned red. "A-are you.. Asking me out?..."    Raine chuckled. "Yes, do you want to?" They asked. "Y-yeah.."    "Great! Let's get this jewel" they said now also blushing. Eda again started picking the lock, but then remembered they bad the key. "Damn.. We had the key this whole time.. " she said. "Oh my god calamity" Raine joked. Eda unlocked the safe and Raine got the jewel out. "Well my dear rainestorm, we got it" eda teased. Then all of a sudden Raine was shot in the arm, they fell over and Eric took the gem and ran. "Raine!!" Eda tried to check on then but Raine shook their head. "G-go after him!"   "Raine I can't leave you here!" Eda argued. "I-iv already called for back up! Just go!" Eda stood up, but then went back and took handcuffs off them, then looked at Raine one last time before running after Eric, she caught up to him quickly, but then he ran down an ally. When she got close enough she tackled him. "Wow, an angel falling from heaven?" He said clearly flirting terribly. Eda scoffed rolling her eyes. "Your under arrest dirt bag!"  She hand cuffed him. Then grabbed the jem, when she got back there were tons of police cars and an ambulance. Eda looked around she didn't see raine, but she did spot chief bump. She almost ran over to him dragging Eric behind her with no care if he's hurt or not. "Hey! Um bump or whatever" she called walking over to him. "Oh, owl lady.. Did you find the criminal?"   "Yeah, yeah, here, here's the criminal, and the jem, where's Raine!?" She asked handing off the items. Bump pointed to a ambulance,and eda walked over but was stopped by a doctor. "I'm sorry ma'am, you can't come unless your known to this person. Eda didn't really know what to say, then chief bump walked over and put a hand on her shoulder. "she's their wife" eda turned completely red from hearing such a thing but nodded on agreement. She got in the back with Raine then mouth worded the words thank you to bump. He nodded and left. A few days passed and eda visited Raine everyday. (Simp)    eventually Raine woke up and chief bump came to visit as well. "I have good news for the both of you, the owl lady's record has been wiped clean, just as promised"    "that's amazing!" Raine beamed. "You know, the police force can use someone with her skills, think about it.." He said walking away. "Ha! I told you" Raine teased "oh whatever, as if I'd actually be a cop"      "I don't knowww you seemed pretty into it"
Raine said to her. "Well I know your into me" eda teased, causing Raine to chuckle. "Yeah, I'm not gonna deny it" eda blushed slightly and after Raine healed they did indeed to on a date.  And became a couple. And believe it or not eda did become a cop along with Raine, so not only were they partners in life they were partners on the force as well. Instead of being the best cops in the city they were the best cops in the state, they solved every unsolvable case known within a year.  And Raine even bad a surprise for eda. "Raine, when you said we were going to do something fun, I had something else on mind" eda said playfully. "Oh shut up, were not even there yet"   Raine said continueing to drive. "Mhm, I wouldn't consider a drive by of the city fun, but what ever floats your boat rainey" eda teased. Then they stopped at a house. "Were here! Come on your gonna love it"     "more than I love you?" Eda asked stepping out the car. "Hm.. Probably not, but you'll like it a lot" they said they walked up to the house and eda then remembered where they were. "Oh.. Shit.. Raine!! This is my sister's house!" She said starting to panic. "Yep now come on"     "raineee you have at least let me prepare mentally!" She argued. "You wouldn't have agreed to come if I told we were going here" Raine took her arm and dragged her to the front door "Raine no! I can't do it! She hates me" Raine rolled their eyes. "Your being dramatic love, she's your sister" Raine knocked on the door and within a minute Lilith answered the door. "Uh.. Hey.. Sis" eda said nervously.  "Edalyn.. " Lilith immediately pulled eda into a hug which caught her off guard. "I'm so glad your not in jail" she finally said. "Yeah.. I easily escapes jail... But I got my whole record cleared" she said to Lilith. "T-thats amazing! A-and your a police officer?"   "Haha.. Yeah a lot happened.. Oh and uh me and Raine are uh.. Dating now" she said to her sister. Raine waved and Lilith sighed. "It took you.. Over a decade to confess your feelings, that's just pathetic! Darius did it faster than you! And Amador doesn't even know what going on half the time! How are you two that clueless!?" Lilith went on about it for an hour.  And that's where our story ends..
