Rebecca's POV

The memories of the long night drown at the bottom of the blazing fire within my body,a depthless entity swayed neither via love, anger or sorrow.
I do not know what is it that I feel.
I walked the aisle of healing, the corridors gave off sickening medicinal incense and a white Union of dressing-- this door to my left 'ward 209' would open to give my beloved Ray's existence; tip-toeing till the edge of his bed i stood myself, he was gone to me by this time-- as if his translucent figure was tethered to the pale revolting white walls.
He hadn't noticed me yet, I cleared my throat with a sigh. He sat up adjusting the sheets.
"Hey, sis."
"Hi, Ray. What's - ...up?"
"I...was reading this book"
"Oh, what book?"
"how to make the girl you like happy, tips & tricks." It quoted.
"It's not what you think..." He insisted arrogantly.
''So, it's true. Go on spill the beans?" I demanded Folding my arms.
"Well.. That's the only thing you're super good at, knowing secrets. She-a-she's a patient here"
We both giggled as he blushed.

A sudden twist at the door knob made Ray jump pushing off his book under the sheets; Averting his eyes to the door excitingly.
"It's her, she's here" he whispered.

A long dark haired girl, With green- gray eyes burst into our little company, her calm delicate posture supported by a wheelchair. Glaring at Ray, she took notice of me smiling gently.

"Oh, I'm so sorry to disturb"
"No, wait. It's alright, I was about to leave"
"I see. I'm May- May Wilson, Nice to meet you and- and sorry for disturbing you" she panicked Turning a pink bloom of spring flowers.

"Haha, your really cute. I can see why you two get along. You've  been coming here for a while now, right?"
"Umm... Yes"
"I must thank you, May-- I've heard a thing or two about you and I'm really glad you can accompany Ray in his leisure time"
"It's my pleasure, i'm a friend" she said.
I headed for the door letting in May. "I see"

"Sis, you're Leaving already?" Ray exclaimed.
I nodded briefly smiling.

I headed for the door once again though an abrupt raise of voice had stopped my feet.

"SIS! you'll Come back, right?" Ray scowled his face in melancholy, one thing that made me want to acquaint craters on the wall.

I looked on to the floor tightening my grasp on the strap of my bag awkwardly to hide my pained face; I faced him,  nodding again with a brief smile.
"Ray, don't worry. I'll always be there for you even if the whole world were to shove you around"
"Sis" -he said relieved- "have a nice day!"

I headed for the door once again turning my back against the two patients.
"ME...too!" May elated a passionate cry.
"May?" I looked at her surprisingly.
"I-I'm I'm not leaving Ray alone, never. I'm going to stay beside him protecting him because...I-I love him!"
"May..."I sighed.
"Thank you"

The memory of this scene stays vivid even today like a video recording.
His eternal affinity.
My Romeo & Juliet.

"Amelia..." I asserted visual force on our nurse outside the ward room Indicating I was dead serious. I needed answers.

"Tell me... How much time do we have?"
She ran her eyes along her shoulder, avoiding my gaze shaking her head twice.
"Amelia! You can't do this to me,You just can't!"
I screamed helplessly, the silence echoed my voice over the vicinity.

"I'm sorry...Rebecca, He won't-"
"You better Shut that mouth before I suture it"
It wasn't her fault, I walked off coldly.
Who would I have taken it out on?
