George Not-Found- Year 10
George was 4 months away from being year 11. Meaning it was 12-13 months away from GCSE'S.
George was already starting the count down to GCSE'S, and already started to revise for what could come up in the GCSE papers.
He wasn't afraid of failing, he has straight B's to A's in all his topics but he has to be prepared. Because if he wasn't prepared, he would be stressed out of his mind.
"George?"
It's a good thing he has 3 friends and doesn't know half the people in his year. Otherwise, he wouldn't be in the mindset to be prepared for the life changing tests.
"Georgeeeee?"
"Ponk?"
"Thank god, you do listen" Ponk sighs in relief
"Why wouldn't I respond?" George asks as he looks up from his maths book
"Cuz I've been calling you for like... 3 minutes"
"I was revising" George says as he looks at the time. Only 5 minutes until tutor time was done.
"You never stop revising" Ponk rolls his eyes as George puts his maths book away.
"You can never be too early for GCSE'S" George sighs as Ponk scoffed at this
"Even the teachers aren't worried about GCSE'S yet, so why are you?" Ponk asks
"I have to be prepared. Who knows what could happen last minute" George explains
"What happens last minute is future me, you and everyone's problem. Live in the moment George. We are only a few months away until year 11. Meaning we can just chill cuz we're still in year 10." Ponk explains, hopefully convincing his friend.
"It won't be a me problem as I would have revised every topic and know it by heart" George says in defence.
"Okay, okay... How about you come with me to a party with-" Ponk was cut off
"No. You already know I don't do parties" George says
"Hear me out George you didn't let me finish" Ponk says as George rolls his eyes. But he lets Ponk continue
"It's not until July. When we break off for the summer holidays meaning we won't have to worry about school the next day." Ponk says, looking at George with hopeful eyes.
"I'll think about it..." George mumbles as Ponk does a small squeal and hugs George
"Plus it's 2 months away so you have time to plan out what drinks are the best, food and have time to plan out the best time to leave." Ponk says as George smiles a bit and nudges Ponk
"I'll think about it Ponk" George laughs a bit as Ponk exists the hug and nods
"Okay, well tell me your answer when it's closer to the time okay?" Ponk asks as George nods
"Sure" George says.
Suddenly, the first bell rings and everyone in their tutor class room packs up their stuff and leaves for first class.
Unfortunately, George's first class isn't with any of his friends as they all picked geography whereas George picked history.
He arrives to his history class and sits in the seat the teacher picked for him after the new year. His table was near the window which was a good seat for the warm weathers. And his table was 'The teachers favourite table' apparently. They all kept their heads down and was focused on the work. But was at a bit of a disadvantage when they need to do work in pairs or as a table as they were all too shy to speak to each other.
"Alright. Today we are learning about exam techniques. Now I know that this is early, but we need to know; what is an exam technique? what is a good exam technique? and how to structure 12 answer questions." The teacher; Mr Phil says to the class as they the majority of them wrote the date of the class and the title of the topic they will be writing about.
"Now can anyone answer what an exam technique is?" The teacher asked as a blonde guy raised his hand.
"Clay?"
"Isn't it like the tips and tricks of getting more points?" Clay says
"How do they give more points?" Mr Phil asks as Clay thinks for a minute
"Because you could use fancy words or specific words that could make a massive difference to your grade?" Clay asks as Mr Phil nods
"Yeah, exactly. But I would word it a bit different. If everyone could write down what is on the whiteboard for me." Mr Phil says as the definition of 'exam techniques' appear on the screen as everyone writes down the definition.
"Okay now everyone has that down. yes Clay?" Mr Phil asks as everyone looks as Clay
"I have to go to a football match. I did give you a note before hand that I can leave at 9:20." Clay says as Mr Phil looks at the time on his computer and sighs a bit
"Alright you can go. But make sure Nick gives you his notes tomorrow" Mr Phil says as Clay smirks and nods as he fist pumps Nick and packs up.
George rolls his eyes as he looks back to his book.
Why would anyone want to leave an important class for a match...
