Titans Tower
The place looks like a hundred miles of bad road thanks to the onslaught of Slade's robots. Across the ravaged entrance hall, metal body parts lie among the smashed armchairs and smoking debris.
"Well... looks like we won." Cyborg softly spoke.
In the cluttered stairwell, a robot sprawls on the landing.
"Then why does it not feel like a victory?" Starfire wondered.
An arm hangs down limply from the ceiling of the gym.
"I knew it. I knew it! We never should have trusted her." Raven snarled.
A large pile of robots has accumulated across the garage.
"But we did. We all did." Robin remarked.
The five Titans have gathered in the operations center where the couch and coffee table used to be.
Cyborg works a few controls on his forearm. "I've regained access to the computer. Security codes and encryption strings have all been reset."
"And all enemy surveillance technology has been located and destroyed." Starfire added.
"Problem is, Terra gave Slade more than secret codes and hidden cameras. She gave him our flaws, our weaknesses, everything he'd ever need to know." Raven informed the others.
Robin narrows his eyes. "It doesn't matter. When Slade makes his next move, we'll be ready."
Cyborg notices his best friend being unusually quiet. "You alright, BB?"
Before the green Titan can respond, a loud rumble was heard at the lower level of the Tower.
Robin glances to the others, with the Titans giving their leader a nod. They all head towards the ground floor.
A few moments later, they arrived at the entrance hall that was filled with smoke in the air. Coughing was heard from within, which caused the Titans to walk through with caution. As they get closer to the sound of coughing, and with the smoke now clearing, they looked on in shock.
Terra is seen bent on her knees, with both hands planted on the floor to keep her steady, coughing from the smoke earlier. But what surprised the Titans the most... is someone that was motionless next to her. A bloodied bystander who is lying on the floor unconscious, with a hole in his chest fully exposed.
"Help him!..." Terra coughs a bit. "Help Spider-Man!... Please!"
This shocks the Titans even more, especially the sorceress.
"Get away from him!" Raven yelled with a demonic echo. The left side of her face possess two red glowing eyes as she fires a black energy beam towards the blonde.
As Terra gets knocked back into a wall, Raven snarls while clutching the left side of her face. Terra looks up in bewilderment.
Robin widens his eyes and runs up to the magic user. "Raven!"
The said Titan held up a hand to him. "Stay... back!" She grunted, gazing at the others with her normal eye.
Not wanting another Dr. Light incident, Robin tries to reason with her. "Raven, you need to control yourself! We don't blame you for feeling this way... We all very well know how you feel..." He gestured to himself and the other Titans. "...but right now, Spider-Man is at death's door and he needs us... he needs you!"
Raven, having half of her face covered with one hand, looks to your dying state. Robin is right, she couldn't afford to lose herself and endanger everyone. She needs to set aside her emotions in order to save you.
