Prologue: A New Life!

My name is Noah Parker, and I'm just you average run-of-the-mill everyday type of person. However, I have been known as the biggest fan of Pokémon ever since I was young. I had played every one of the mainstream games, won all the Leagues, and completed all the Pokédex's. And I have even played all of the spin-off games as well. Now I know what you maybe thinking; yes that seems like a huge accomplishment, but for me, it was all just for fun honestly. And I enjoyed every minute of it. However, when I reached the age of 12, I was invited to the biggest Pokémon Competitions ever!

Thanks to me having put so many hours into playing Pokémon to good use, I managed to literally sweep the entire competition effortlessly. Since then, a lot of other people have since admired my skills, whereas some people were quite jealous. But that was 7 years ago back then. But little did I know that my life was about to change in the most strangest ways possible! And that's exactly what I'm going to tell you. So sit back, relax, and join me on this new and exciting journey!

It was calm and peaceful Friday evening, and I was just on my way home from college with my friends Jacob and Andy. We had been best friends since we first met each other back in kindergarten. We all loved playing Pokémon and we used to trade Pokémon between each other. But right now, we were glad that we had finished college for the week, and I was looking forward to getting back home and playing some more Pokémon. Just then, Andy piped up.

(Andy): Does anyone have any plans for their week off? I'm actually hoping to create and publish a new indie game.

(Noah): Oh nothing much; I'll probably play Pokémon again and try and do some more Shiny Hunting.

(Andy): As you always do. You really do love Pokémon.

(Noah): Heh, you know me well Andy. Besides, those Shiny Pokémon ain't gonna hunt themselves. What about you Jacob? Do you have any plans?

(Jacob): All I'm gonna plan to do is try and score me a girlfriend to have some fun with. If you two catch my drift.

Me and Andy just facepalmed at what Jacob said. He was always perverted when it comes to having a girlfriend. But that got me thinking about my own relationship. I was still single and I didn't have a girlfriend of my own. But as we were walking towards a crossroad, and I was still thinking, I saw that a little girl had accidentally tripped whilst trying to grab her teddy. Then, I saw that a car speeding towards her. Without a second thought, I quickly ran over to the girl which shocked Jacob and Andy.

(Jacob): Noah, wait! What are you doing?!

But it was already too late to turn back. Just as I reached the girl who was currently frozen in fear, I grabbed her and threw her into her parents waiting arms. I smiled before realising that the car was still moving! What followed next was absolutely devastating for everyone.

The car didn't have time to stop in time and it rammed right into me, sending me flying backwards, until I rolled to a stop on the road. Everyone was absolutely devastated by what happened; even the driver was. But Jacob and Andy both had tears streaming down their faces as they also saw what happened to me, their dearest friend. Meanwhile, I was literally lying in a large puddle of blood which was also splattered all over my face and body.
