This beclouded evening resulted in exploring the neighborhood you had found yourself in- your father had left his profession and moved you to this town, Belleville. It made life difficult as your parents had had split custody of you after their divorce, Mom still lived in your hometown of Parksley, Virginia. It's not too far but a long enough journey that you wouldn't go every weekend. God knows how Dad managed to be allowed to bring you up here with him. Anyway, back to your evening...

YOUR POV~

Dad forced me to go and familiarize myself with this place, it's bigger than back home, more to remember. This has resulted in me standing on a street corner looking for signs of life that could point me in the direction of 'home'. Looking around me, I see a river, does anyone else get the intrusive thoughts like what if you just go and- the sound of laughter coming from behind me ripped me from my thoughts.

I turn to see three figures walking down this desolate walkway. As they wonder further towards me, I take my chance, walk into the dim lumination of the street lamp above me and meander towards them, preparing my cry for help- or question rather.

"Excuse me", I start politely. "I'm lost, could you point me towards Joralemon Street, please"

"Oh, yeah, of course. We're actually walking up that way if you wanna follow us", the one on the left says to me, poor lighting obscurring his features, although, i could tell, however, that he was very pale and quite short for a man.

"Yeah, sure", I replied shortly.

And with that, we set off in the direction of the small brick building my dad had bought, me trailling behind them as we near Union Avenue.
"So are you new around here?", the same voice sounds infront of me, piering over his shoulder at me.
"yeah, I just moved here with my Dad", I announce.
"I don't see why anyone would move here, Belleville's trash", the boy in the middle mumbled spitefully.
"AW, GERARD!", The smaller male scolds.
"Sooo... what's your name?", A third voice inquires.
I look up at him and answer his question, by now the two curious boys had moved to either side of me."Well, I'm Ray, that's Frank", the man to my right gestures to the short one on my left,"And that's Gerard", he continued.
"Nice to meet you all", I answer sweetly,"Do you guys all live here?".
"Yeah, we're all sophmores at Belleville High, how 'bout you?", Frank answers.
"I'm starting there next week!", I say exitedly,"I'm a sophmore aswell!"

As we walk we learn more about eachother, well exept Gerard, he stays quiet infront of us all the way there. When I see familiar roads around me, i exuse myself, walking toward Division Avenue and eventually Forest Street and soon I identify the quaint brick house.

The lamp by the front door turned on as I approch and unlock it, as I did the figure of my dad came around the corner of the house towards me.
"Where were you? What took you so long?", He pressed as he brought me in for a quick side-hug.
"I got a little lost, sorry"
"At least you know your way back now, right?", He probed,
"Yeah, I guess...Oh dad, you'll never guess", he looks curiously at you- slightly raising one eyebrow,"I made some friends earlier, they're in my grade and they helped me find my way back here"
"Good for you, honey, so moving here isn't all bad", I let out a defeated sigh and walk to my newly decorated bedroom. It's nice, don't get me wrong but it's too new to call home or feel completely comfortable in. One white wall and the rest y/f/c, all litered with posters, pictures and paintings that compliment quite pleasantly. I should probably  call mom at some point, just to let her know what it's like here and that I'm okay but I think it's a little soon for that considering we only moved all of our stuff in yesterday so we've not quite settled yet. I'll call her when school starts up so I can tell if I actually like this place yet. Belleville seems okay so far- I would say that nothing really happens round here, however, a few days ago I heard that there was a dead body found down town. It was kinda shocking how casual the reporters on the news were about it but it seems that it's a common occurance around here. So strange.
