AUGUST 12TH WAS MY FIRST day of school in La Push and admittedly I had been stressed. I was always good at making friends though so that part I wasn't worried about but I was thankful I would know at least one face. "Byron let's go!!" I yelled at my little brother and he shuffled out of his room. I stood by my locker after putting away all of my things and heard a voice say "Hey!" I turned around to see two guys both with russet colored skin and long black hair, one was slightly taller than the other and had longer hair than the other. "Hi?," I responded "I'm Jacob by the way and that's Embry" the guy with longer hair said "Hey" Embry said with a much softer voice than Jacob and I responded with a small smile before looking back to Jacob as if I was asking him what he wanted and he understood "You're Seth's cousin Anna right?," I nodded and said "You two know him?," which I had already known Embry did because I remembered him from the cliff. The day had gone by considerably fast and now I sat in my last hour of the day. I looked at my paper and glanced at Embry who was beside of me sitting at the table. I had been quite lost in my thoughts but perked up when I heard my name once more "AnnaLeise Heevey?," the teacher called and I said aloud "Here.," Embry and I worked on the biology project together and I realized he was quite nice like Seth but differently. Embry was more shy than Seth had probably ever been, we exchanged numbers so that we could meet up and work on the project together. Embry and I walked out together and coincidentally he and Jake had parked next to me in Jakes car. Embry smiled at me and said goodbye, Jacob waved and gave me a flashy smile. Overall I felt satisfied about my first day of school in an entirely new place, new state, new town, new school. -Seth came by to ask me to ask me how my day had been since he didn't get to see me, asked if his friends had found me and explained that he wanted them to look out for me so that I'd feel like I had someone to fall back on if I didn't end up making any friends which made me chuckle but I thanked him and told him how thoughtful it was of him to think about me. The conversation ended with him asking me if I wanted to the beach this weakened with him, Jake, Embry and a friend of theirs, Quill, that I hadn't met yet. I told him I would see because I wasn't entirely sure if I'd be comfortable around a bunch of honey teenage boys I didn't know even though Jake and Embry didn't seem like they'd want that from me. "Hey!," I yelled at Jakob as he splashed me with water. He ran through the waves telling me I could never get him but I jumped onto his back and in return he dragged me down and held me in the water. I splashed laughing at Jake and pulled him down fully into the water with me, his long hair now wet and trailing down his chest and he flashed me his signature smile before grabbing me once more and throwing me back in the water "Oh you are so dead now Jacob Black!," I said as I wiped the salty water from my eyes. The water was cool and the wind slapping against my body made it that much cooler and Seth noticed "Hey Jake bring my cousin back by the fire before she freezes to death!" Seth yelled while laughing at me. Jake and I walked towards the shore when he said to me "Hey is there something going on between you and Ems?" I looked at him with confusion written on my face and shook my head no and responded "Really? I wouldn't have known with the way he was starting at you." I looked up at him beside of me "Jacob!," I said and he chuckled. .. I didn't lie though ..
