Shotaro was hurrying to the Narumi Detective Agency after having a talk with Tsukasa and the group at Hikari Studio. However, as he entered the office, he was taken aback when Akiko smacked him with her green sandals.
"Ouch! What was that for, Akiko? I already informed you that I was going to be late!" Shotaro said as he rushed to his seat.
"You're tardy!" Akiko bellowed as she hit him on the head once more with her green sandals.

In a serious manner, Sokichi intervened as Akiko was about to strike Shotaro with her slipper. He sternly uttered, "Don't hurt him, my child." Akiko comprehended the gravity of the situation and apologized to Shotaro.

Shotaro let out a deep sigh before asking, while sitting on his seat, "Is there any presence of Dopants around here?"
Akiko responded, "No, there isn't. I just wanted to mess around with you. Is there a problem with that?" She said while smirking, but her tone conveyed a serious undertone.
"Ha ha, you're quite the runner, Akiko!" Shotaro exclaimed, playfully chasing her while Philip and Tokime joined in on the fun.
"You're not quite there yet, Shotaro," chuckled Philip.
"Looks like we're all having a good time," giggled Tokime.

Izumi let out a deep sigh upon hearing about his adoptive brother's personality. With a serious tone, he confirmed, "Indeed, he is quite half-boiled." While sketching a drawing of Fuuto Tower, Izumi couldn't help but feel disappointed.
On the other hand, Shotaro, who was annoyed with the comment, responded in a serious tone, "I am a hard-boiled detective, not a half-baked one, guys!"

In spite of the circumstances, Mahiro remained silent and simply observed.
Akiko grabbed two eggs from the refrigerator and played a prank on Shotaro, jokingly teasing him at the same time. Throughout the entire ordeal, she had a grin on her face.
Akiko chuckled joyfully and then switched to a serious tone. "Let's see, can you identify the hard-boiled egg between these two?" she asked while presenting two eggs. "You know, just in case you ever become a hard-boiled detective," she added with a smile.
Shotaro was taken aback when he saw the two eggs and exclaimed, "What in the world?!". He has never seen such a 'difficult' task for a 'hard-boiled' detective like him.
Akiko, in a playful tone, asked, "So, are you a serious detective, Mr. Aspiring Detective?"
Without hesitation, Shotaro replied seriously, "Yes, I definitely am!"
Akiko was pleased with the response and said happily, "Great! Let's see some proof then!"
