Chapter 7
1 moon later
Meadowpaw rushed out of the Apprentice's Den. She grabbed a thrush and mouse and hurried back. "Sunpaw!!" She yowled. "I got your mouse for you!"
Sunpaw hurtled into the den. "Thanks Meadowpaw!" She took the mouse and hurried back outside.
Meadowpaw settled down into her nest and started eating the thrush. As she finished as was cleaning herself, Roaringpaw came in. She turned her back to him and continued washing herself. "Meadowpaw?" Roaringpaw called out. He came to sit by her. "Umm....Can't you forgive me?"
Meadowpaw finished up and walked off, giving no sign of having heard him. She hurried over to Sunpaw to see her and Stormpaw talking. They quickly stopped as soon as she walked over. "Hey Sunpaw. Hey Stormpaw." She greeted them. She looked at them suspiciously, wondering what they were talking about and why they stopped talking about it when she got there.
"Hey Meadowpaw." Sunpaw replied, smiling.
"What were you guys talking about?"
"Oh, nothing." Stormpaw answered.
"Ok." Meadowpaw got up and went to look for Eaglethorn. Once she reached him, she asked him, "Can we go hunting?"
"Sure." He replied. She followed him out camp and they split up. She went left and he went right.
She silently crept through the bushes, searching. She caught the scent of a thrush and crouched in wait. When she spotted it, she pounced and killed it, then brought it back to camp. She took it to the Elder's Den and gave it to the only elder, Venomclaw. "Here you go, Venomclaw."
Venomclaw grunted. "Meadowpaw, go tell your father I want a word."
She nodded and raced off. "Stormflame!!" She yowled.
Her father ran over to her. "Yes?" He asked.
"Venomclaw wants a word."
"Thank you." She watched as her father ran across the camp and entered the Elder's Den.
Meadowpaw then hurried to Snowstar's Den. "Snowstar!" She called out, entering the den.
"Come in." Came the reply.
Meadowpaw hurled in. "Snowstar, can we talk about my dream?" She questioned, sitting down next to her leader, tail curled around her paws.
"Yes." She answered. "Why might you want to discuss the warning from Starclan? Is there a worry you have?"
"No. I just....Do you think there are others in the prophecy?"
"Only Starclan knows."
"So, there could be more?"
"Yes. But if there are, I'm sure Starclan will send you a dream."
"Ok." Meadowpaw got up and hurried to the Apprentice's Den. She glanced outside at the stars, then hurried to her nest. She laid down next to Sunpaw, scooting as close to her and as far from Roaringpaw as possible. Just as she got comfortable, she drifted off to sleep.
~~~
Meadowpaw opened her eyes to see a grey and white she-cat staring at her. "Hello?"
"Hello, young one." The she-cat spoke. "There are two others, one close to your heart, the other an enemy turned friend. Find them, for the time is closer than you think."
"Wait, who? Who are the cats?" The she-cat started fading. "Wait!! Don't go!! Don't.................go............." Everything went black.
