Hi darlings,
Here's another chapter of this story. Sorry for taking so long to update, but school just takes up so much of my time so it's been hard to find the time to write.

It would mean a lot if you commented as you go along, I'd love to hear your thoughts:)

Anyway I hope you're doing well and if anyone wants someone to talk to my DMs are always open

For the first time in a long time, I was woken up not by my alarm, but by the smell of hot coffee and freshly made waffles.

I opened my eyes and panicked for a moment at the sight of unfamiliar surroundings, but then I remembered that I had spent the night at Emily's and relaxed.

I left the guest bedroom where I had been sleeping and followed the delightful sounds to the kitchen, where Emily was preparing breakfast.

I was wearing the nightshirt Emily had lent me the previous night, opting not to put on my dirty clothes from the day before.

"Good morning," I greeted Emily, who was already dressed for work.

She turned and smiled at me. "Morning. Did you sleep well?"

"I did, thank you," I replied, and then asked, "What time is it? Don't we have to work today?"

"Don't worry, it's six thirty. We'll be fine," she assured me. "I made breakfast for you, so just make yourself comfortable and enjoy while I find something for you to wear."

As she began to leave, I stopped her. "Aren't you eating with me?"

"I'm not really a breakfast person, and I already had my morning coffee," she answered with a soft smile before heading off.

That puzzled me. Why would she go through the trouble of making me breakfast if she didn't plan on eating with me?

If you had told me a month ago that I would be sitting in Emily's kitchen eating waffles, that tasted amazing, by the way, I would have never believed you.

After finishing my breakfast and getting dressed, we both hopped into our cars and drove to work.

"Hey, everyone," I greeted as I settled down at my desk.

"Noooo, it's too early for pleasantries," Morgan groaned, and I chuckled.

"Rough night?" I teased him.

"Rough doesn't even begin to cover it," he replied, winking at me before heading to the coffee machine.

"Hey, Addie, is that a new shirt? I don't think I've seen you wear it before. It suits you," JJ remarked with a smile.

"Thanks, I really like it," I replied with a grin. And it's true, I love this shirt. I love how it fits and how it makes me feel. I especially love catching whiffs of Emily's perfume on it, but that's a secret I won't confess.

Just when I thought I had escaped further questioning, Reid had to use his genius memory, "Didn't Emily wear that exact shirt last week?"

"I, um-" I began to stammer, but then Emily swooped in and saved me, announcing that we had a new case.

As we walked toward the briefing room, she leaned close and whispered in my ear, "For what it's worth, JJ's right."

"Right about what?" I inquired.

"You do look good in my clothes," she retorted with a mischievous smirk, her voice lowering slightly.

Blushing, I looked away.
