I look through the menu and just like I expected, the prices are through the roof. 23 dollars for a house salad. You have go to be kidding me. Who would pay these unreasonable prices?
Keaton would. Thats who.
I look at the next page of the menu and go down all the prices, trying to pick the cheapest item.I decide on a single slice of French toast and 2 slices of bacon.
I feel a warm but a bit cold hand ontop of my own. "Lacey darling, honestly, pick what you want, dont worry about the price, dont underestimate me and pick the cheapest. Im Keaton fucking Hayes sweetheart." He laughs softly and looks back at the menu.
I watch his eyes dance around the menu, shooting from one page to the other. How can someone have such a beautiful facial structure? Honestly... am I really that focused on a man.
I look down at my menu and stick with my descison, ignoring his demand of getting whatever I please. I clear my throat and close the menu and fold my hands nicely onto my lap.
"Sooo...what do you do for a living...?"
"Is this a college application?" he looks up at me with those dearing eyes.
"I mean...no, no not at all, but you just seem to have all this mon-"
"I do a mixture of everything basically, fathers businesses, personal chef, attending special events for security slash bodyguards. Stuff like that." He closes the menu and places mine and his on top of each other.
"Oh really? I personally saw you as a "all daddys money" type of guy..." I shrug my shoulders.
He laughs one of those beautiful, happy laughs he does, I came to realize when he laughs he tilts his head back a bit always runs a hand through his hair 24/7. "What gave you that idea sweet girl?"
"I dont know...partially the douchey clothing that frat boys wear and most likely own a mercades." I mess with the tips of my hair, slowly seperating each strand out of nervousness.
He smiles "Havent heard that one before shockingly."
"You may of not heard it, but im sure pleanty think about it...I mean, you look like your sterotypical frat boy." Im shocked with how bold im being with my remarks.
He surprisingly tilts his head back in laughter. "Seriously Lacey dear, you have to come up with something better than a "frat boy" do I look that bad?" He actually shows concern.
"I...I mean no...! Not at all, you look quite...charming actually, your eyes- you just wanted to hear nice shit about yourself...you're ridiculous." I cough out a laugh and fold my arms.
He smiles. "Well it was a delight hearing something about me that's actually good, I'm normally labeled as "piece of shit" or even "cold hearted bitch" people fascinate me honestly."
"Are they wrong though...?" I look at him and pull longer strands out from my hair and twirl them around.
"How cold, maybe you're the cold hearted one in this very room!" He chuckles.
"The total opposite thank you very much...I'm the nicest person alive..." I get cut off by a waitress making her way over.
She has long strawberry blonde hair that's half pinned up and slightly curled towards the end. Her eyes are a light, earth-like green that compliments her olive skin tone.
I sit up straight and fix my hair. The waitress finally speaks up after losing words after picking out every admirable detail on Keaton.
"How may I help you two today?" She has a wide smile across her face but she doesn't knowledge me, her green eyes are all over Keaton. Traveling his muscular arms.
I clear my throat. "I'll like a sweet tea with your significant French toast and bacon
