You could hear beeping sounds throughout the hospital hallways. "What was that noise..?" Yaku thought to himself hearing the heart monitor, suddenly he heard voices.
"When will you wake up..? It's been six years you know? Please open your eyes f-for me.." Yaku heard an unknown voice "But aren't they already opened.? What are you talking about..? Whose there? Is it... nighttime? Why is it so dark..?" Yaku thought.
"Chipmunk.." that name sent shivers throughout his whole body. "So familiar.. who is it..?" Yaku then for some reason.. saw a blue butterfly flying around him. It caused Yaku's head to hurt but the black he was seeing started to turn into a white blurry vision.
"W-What is this..? What the hell's going on?! Ah.. f-fuck my head hurts.." once the pain started to fade the butterfly left Yaku's sight. But to his surprise, the vision started to become more clear.
There, Yaku saw multiple people at once. To him, they all looked familiar but Yaku couldn't quite put his finger on it on who they were..suddenly the vision paused there.
There stood a long grey-haired boy with green eyes staring at Yaku. "Chipmunk.." Yaku suddenly had that name stuck in his thoughts "W-Wait.. why did I think of that..?" Yaku then saw a vision of someone he should know..
"Hey Chipmunk! How was your day today? How's the weather down there?" Then he's saw a vision of himself.
"You fucking Beanpole. I'll literally kill you." That made Yaku's mind to remember. "Isn't that.." then he heard him "You remember me.." Yaku faced to his left hearing a familiar voice nearby. His eyes widened as a tear drop fell out of his eyes,
The tall boy was smiling at Yaku. "Take my hand Chipmunk..come to us.. to me.." as Yaku took a hold of the hand that was reached out towards him the same boy kept smiling at him.
It was like a 'Welcome back' type of smile to Yaku. Eventually, Yaku woke up it was hard for Yaku to open his eyes but he was able to manage. He looked down at the nice warmth he felt on his hand only to see it connected to someone else's.
He traced the hand up to the arm, shoulder, neck and then the face. There, he saw the face Yaku was glad to see, the tall half-Russian boy was crying as he started to talk to Yaku. But Yaku couldn't hear anything from the boy.
"What..? Is he saying something?" Yaku thought. Yaku stared at him, confused. Lev got up making his way out of the room.
"W-Wait.. where are you going..? D-Don't leave..". Lev then quickly came back into the room. But beside him were a few bunch of familiar faces, Yaku looked at all of them trying to identify them. "Kuroo? Kenma..? Kai..? Is that.. Fukunaga and Yamamoto? And I think those are., Shibayama Inouka and Teshiro..?" Yaku thought claiming who was who.
"But what's going on? They're all talking and smiling at me.. Am I..dreaming? I can't hear them. Why can't I move? Where even is this place?" Yaku was still confused on what happened.
A man in a mask and a white coat suddenly came in. He couldn't hear what he was saying either, but as the man came closer it was identified that he was a Doctor. Then it clicked all of a sudden "Am I.. in a hospital?"
"What was with the sad expression? Is something wrong?" Yaku thought (These ' ' are now Yaku's thoughts.
The doctor faced everyone staring at them as everyone stared back confused "What is it?" Lev asked Kuroo then asked him "Is something wrong Doctor?" Yaku just looked at them like a lost pup.
"He's deaf.." the doctor had announced. That made everyone shocked and just stood there, they really couldn't believe what they had just heard. "What..?" Kenma was left speechless. The doctor sighed "The day of the accident...there were a few shattered glasses into his ear but I honestly didn't know he went deaf by it.." the doctor said.
Kai was silent while Kuroo lashed out. "You find out after six years?! Six whole fucking years?! You..you even know how fucking important Yaku is to us, don't you?!" Kuro was clearly upset from what he was told about one of his best friends.
Kenma attempted to calm Kuroo down "Kuroo, let the man speak. Calm down." "But-" Kenma cut Kuroo off "Tetsuro."
Kuroo sighed "Sorry.." the doctor continued "Six years ago we were trying to focus on removing the glass so he can immediately get treated. I honestly didn't know about his hearing..please.. do forgive me. For I'm to blame."
Kai reassured the Doctor "H-Hey..it's a-alright.." Fukunaga stayed silent Inouka spoke "It's not your fault.." Yamamoto continued "Not even close to your fault.." the doctor apologised again.
"I'm really sorry again.." Shibayama told the Doctor "The accident wasn't avoidable .." or so they would've thought.. the others had their heads down low in complete guilt.
"I'll leave you all alone please call me if you need anything the least I can do is give you a pen and notebook..you can use it to communicate to your friend there.."
The Doctor handed the notebook and pen to Lev and made his way out. "I-It's all m-my fault.. if I didn't l-lie to him about Lev.. none of this would've happened... we could've helped him in a different way.." Fukunaga was the main one who was guilty.
Lev went closet to Yaku and took a seat beside him. "We're all at fault here.." Kuroo claimed. Excluding Lev.. he didn't know about any of this before he went out with Yukina.
Kuroo continued "What's even more worse is that we didn't even KNOW about Yaku's parents..." Kenma spoke "All this time... he's been fighting by himself.."
"Dealing with it all alone..." Kai then said. "Shut up please..Yaku's awake." Lev said which made everyone silent 'What Lev doing with that notebook? And what's with the gloomy looks..?' He looked up only to see the same expression on everyone's faces.
Yaku felt discomfort so he looked back at Lev. His eyes widened after seeing these nine letters. Notebook:You're deaf
