Umar and Daniel strolled down the streets of London, the sun was sinking in the red sky as the cars drove past without spearing a second. The traffic lights were doing their usual duties, changing from Red to Green to Amber, and so on.

The birds were singing as they flew home.

Umar felt the last moments of the days sunlight shine down, the warmth resting on his cheek. "Beautiful sunset" said Daniel as he pressed the button on his camera. The photo slid out of the slit in the camera, Daniel gazed at it proudly. Umar's mobile rang "it's my mum, she probably wants me home." Daniel nodded knowing that it was getting late and his mum would be calling him soon if he didn't get home. "See ya then Umar" Daniel said speeding up his pace, Umar gave Daniel a slight nod as he was on the phone to his mum, looking at his face expression Daniel could tell he was getting a tongue-lashing. Daniel smiled, he lived 2 streets away from Umar so as Umar turned to his street Daniel jogged on forward.

Inhaling deeply, Daniel opened his eyes letting the breath out.

The sound of laughter filling the air reached him on his perch. The laughter sounding haunting... crazy - not like the joyful laughter but mad laughter - it was followed by a piercing scream.

A terrified, heart wrenching scream.

Scream after scream after scream filled the air each one worse then the last. Until suddenly all was silent.

No tortured screams. No terrifying laughter. Just.... silence.

He could taste the freshly filled blood in the air as a howling wind blew across his face.

The taste of rotting flesh joined the taste of blood as the wind blew fiercely. The stench of death hung heavy in the air. The smell of rotting carcasses and decaying flesh reached his nose, strengthening with each breath Daniel took in.

His eyes filled with tears- tears of fear. Animal carcasses and decaying human bodies lay scattered across the dead, brown grass. Broken tree branches lay on the grass.

The trees that remained standing looked to be bleeding and the once lush, green bushes were now dead, lying on the ground. Daniel looked around trying to scream for help, the words just wouldn't come out. He turned around and started to run, like a CCTV camera he was watched on he knew it, he could feel it in the blood pumping through his veins.

A cold hand reached over Daniel's shoulder, the grip was tightening Daniel swung back and in shock he was standing in front of a tall dark figure.

His heart was racing it felt like he was going to vomit it out. The Figure held up a familiar looking object- his camera!

The twig-like fingers reached for the button, for some reason Daniel could feel a pounce approaching him, He sprinted before the picture was captured. He was running with all his might, he didn't dare look back. The camera flashed the picture was captured, the figure came closer, Daniel felt weak as if all the energy had drained out of him. He shut his eyes he could feel the shadows cover him, the tight grip held him, he knew it was his end...

Daniel shot out off bed, his head dripping with sweat, his cheeks red with a mix of anger and fear, his throat dry yearning for water. Daniel looked around his room, the camera was where he had left it, but next to it was a familiar looking doll with a wide smile on its face.

Daniel examined the doll- One big black button hand sewn on the right eye of the doll, the left eye was a smaller button and was a Cat-eye green, Grey hair parted into two pigtails, the doll was wearing only one black shoe, it's long white dress reached until its knee-cap, and most creepy of all, the smile seemed to undo all the stitches on the side.

What was the doll doing in Daniel's room?

Why was it here?

What did it want?

How did it get there?!

Daniel got out of his bed, The moonlight cast a ghoulish glow on the shelf the doll sat on.

With each step Daniel took it felt as if he was being pulled closer. He slowly lifted the doll and shook it, surely a doll couldn't do anything. All the movies on dolls like Puppet master, Child's play and Dead Silence were all imagination.

Dolls were dolls, toys for little children to play with, not Killers or Crazy loonatics and especially not Voodoo magic freaks.

Daniel felt his hands be pierced by pins "Ouch!" He let go off the doll and started to rub his hand. What was that? Wait a minute were's the doll! Daniel looked for the doll he was sure he just dropped it, it wouldn't be that far. He saw it, looked as if it was trying to climb up the bookshelf. Daniel reached for the doll, just before he was about to grab hold of it the doll swung around its mouth was twisted and it's eyebrows gave out the expression of -Anger- "What the Hell!" Daniel grabbed the doll, opened the hinges of the window, threw the doll out and Slammed the window shut.

Daniel raced to get his mobile, He scrolled down the contact list till he got to -Umar- His Thumb hit the name, "Pick up, Pick up!" Daniel stressed whilst the ringing sound echoed threw his ear. 'Sorry it has not been possible to connect your call, Please try again later.' Daniel threw his mobile onto the bed and shoved his face into his hands, what was he thinking it was 4:35am Noone would be awake at this time.

Suddenly the 'Terminated' ringtone by Dr. Mad went off, 'Yesss!' Daniel shuffled through the blanket to find his phone. He pressed his finger on the accept button.

"Umar, Bro your up?"

"Yup, I was praying when you called, So why are you up so Late? Early? I dunno"

Daniel explained to Umar about the dream and the doll, how it had mysteriously appeared on his Shelf, and how it had changed face expressions and that he threw it out the window.

"Okay, Daniel are you sure your ok?"

"I can't go sleep bro, I'd rather be in the same room as Dracula than with that doll, there's something about it that's different, something I can't put my finger on."

"Ok bro look there is like 3 and a half hours left till school, we'll talk then"

"Oh man okay then. See ya."

"In a bit Bro."

Daniel placed his mobile on his bedside table, ' 3 & 1/2 more hours I can do this ' he thought as his eyes closed.
