Who is she?

Prologue

'KAIJU (解呪, kaijū, Japanese) Giant beast.'

'JAEGER (yāgər, German) Hunter.'

"When I was a kid, whenever I'd feel small or lonely..."

Bubbles start to appear, seeming like they are stars in a clear night sky, they are moving towards us.

"... I'd look up at the stars.

Wondered if there was life up there.

Turns out I was looking in the wrong direction."

A blue glow appears with electricity of the same colour crackles between unseen barriers of where the glow is emanating from.

"When alien life entered our world it was from deep beneath the pacific ocean."

Electricity starts to arc around the barriers which have been made clearer by the increasing light from the glow. They are determined to be a fissure between two rocky outcrops.

"A fissure between two tectonic plates."

A small group of fish swim into the frame, and an forked line scratches its way into being, bringing forth an orangy-red light further illuminating the fissure in which it hovers above.

"A portal between dimensions."

Smoke like domes spring up on the cracks opening them a bit further.

"The Breach."

The ocean starts to be sucked in like when you pull the drain in a sink and the electricity becomes erratic.

"I was 15 when the first kaiju made land in San Francisco. "

Behind various cars and trucks a figure looms in the fog, opening its mouth and roaring, stretching out a tri-clawed hand reaching out, three more of the same hands emerge from the mist digging into the Golden Gate Bridge. The head appears to be shaped like an axe and will later be known as 'Trespasser' has a faint orange glow coming from its mouth. Pushing into the bridge breaks it and the bridge starts to tear apart like it was paper. Cars and small prices of the bridge fall down to the harbour below. The leg of 'Trespasser' is seen with the rubble and debris falling into the water when a big chunk of the bridge falls into the water resulting in huge waves and water spraying everywhere. Jet fighters swoop in through the fog and start blasting at the kaiju flying under its arm and indistinct radio chatter can be heard over the chaos that recently commenced. One of the jets exploded from crashing into the tail causing it to turn around and give a low growl. The scene quickly fades into black.

"By the time tanks,

Jets and missiles took it down,

six days and 35 miles later..."

People are running along and screaming trying to get away from the danger that is happening out of view.

"... three cities were destroyed."

...

Jets fly low over the damaged bridge chasing after 'Trespasser'. A column of smoke rises from one on the sides of the bridge.

"Tens of thousands of lives were lost."

...

A TV channel shows the wrecks of what is left of the Golden Gate Bridge having the entirety of the middle destroyed with rubble and debris floating in the general shape of where the bridge originally was, with residue of oil floating on the surface of the water trailing after the path the Kaiju took.
