for some reason you couldn't stop yourself from thinking about your dreams. you desperately wanted to find her again, and for selfish reasons being you needing closure, was why. you were doomed to live until a demon slayer stronger than you decapitates your head, and for as long as you walked the plane of this earth your heart was struck with grief. at the very least you should be able to live a guilt-free rest of your life, right?
but no one cares for a hazbin, so no one would help you achieve that goal. you were alone, you knew that. ,but you're use to that by now.
the journey to the spider infested forest was yet another boring one, any human who happened to be wandering past sunset, and was unfortunate enough to cross your path, was killed.
with a sharp shove a familiar short boy pushed himself into your stomach, you slowly looked down to see Rui, his eyes remained ever so nonchalant, though his voice failed to portray the same vibe as the minute he started talking he sounded like an excited kid in a candy store.
"───You're back!.. I thought you wouldn't come back so soon."
you adverted your gaze, "I'm here on orders from the Lord"
"Oh." Rui felt his heat drop, your reason for being here wasn't because you wanted to, you were here because you had to. but being the very careless person you were, you never considered it would come out that way.
"Lord had mentioned you're suffering with some demon slayer problems, I'm here to oversee, I guess." you bit your inner cheek;
"Oh, yeah. it's nothing much, dealing with weaklings is easy." Rui remarked rather proudly.
"Yeah, just remember what I told you, underestimating your opponents could be your downfall, if they're as strong as you, or stronger, make a clever decision based on that." you began walking through the long distances of the forest, Rui clambered behind you while awkwardly spouting about his improvements with his string-demon arts.
