"I heard Prof. Zhang is really strict regarding order in the operating theatre and during surgery. Is it true Gyuvin-sunbae?" Hanbin hears Matthew asking Gyuvin worriedly as he opens his eyes, finding himself on a hospital bed with an IV drip attached to his right arm.

He sits up, catching the attention of the other two males in the room. "Hanbin! You're up!" Gyuvin said. "Hanbin you scared me so bad when I received news from Prof. Zhang!" He held his chest with a pained expression.

"Wait...did Professor Zhang say anything about me? Am I going to get into trouble...?" Hanbin was scared for real. He didn't want to get on one of the strictest professors' bad side when he hasn't even lasted in the hospital for a whole full month yet.

"About that, I was really shocked when Prof. Zhang came to my room in person to tell me about you. He seemed like he was in a rush...oh and he told me to take good care of you."

Gyuvin paused.

"Now that's kind of weird, he'd always call me or send me a text, but during my break he came into my room...he has never done that unless it was really an emergency. But like Matthew said, he is very strict, all interns are on eggshells around him. Maybe he decided to put his guard down around you guys?"

Hanbin doesn't know how to feel now. Was Professor Zhang caring for him? Or was he so mad to the point he went to Gyuvin's room to spread the news? He sighed. Regardless, he needs to recover as fast as possible and continue doing his rounds because he doesn't want to upset Zhang Hao any further.

"Hanbinie, Prof. Zhang also ordered you to rest fully today, so don't feel guilty and rest well! We'll check up on you later!" They waved Hanbin goodbye as they left the room.

12.01 a.m. Hao checked his watch. He'd be sleeping by now right? He gently slid open the door to the ward, careful not to wake up the boy in the room.

To his surprise, he was met with a dim warm lamp shining onto the desk full of textbooks and worksheets—and of course a very visibly looking lethargic Hanbin focused on his iPad scribbling through his notes.

Hao frowned upon the sight, and even more when he saw the younger not giving him any attention——it was probably because the younger was so occupied in memorising some medical terms that he didn't even notice.

He closed the door behind him carefully and placed a bag of a packet of food—which seemed to be for Hanbin. It caused a rustle which made Hanbin look up.

As he lifted his head, Hao could see his tired eye bags and those innocent eyes. The kind innocent eyes that made Hao want to just keep him in his pocket—

No. He shouldn't be thinking about such things. He's a grown man, a sunbae, and a professor in fact, so he should be professional and rational enough not think about some random handsome intern and his future with—

Hao concluded that he himself must've been sleep-deprived too.

Hao cleared his throat as he shoves those thoughts aside. "Have you had dinner yet? If you haven't here. Have this, it's not that heavy so you should be able to sleep well after."

Hanbin seemed flustered as well. His ears start going off like a fire truck—feeding blood rush into his ears as it gets warmer and redder.

"Ah, Professor Zhang, you didn't have to do this—"
Hanbin reaches out to the bag of food and sees a container ox bone soup—his favourite comfort food. He had no idea how the older had guessed.
