It was the next day. Hao had woken up with a pair of muscular arms embracing his waist—as if he was a teddy bear. Well, it was Hanbin. He'd be lying if he'd said he didn't like it. A nostalgic feeling of him being embraced in a pair of safe arms crawled up his body as he shuts his eyes and sinks into his scent.

With his eyes closed and engulfed in Hanbin's arms, how did he even end up on his bed? His muscles definitely ached from the small mattress they were squeezed on, but it didn't seem to mind if with Hanbin. Scratch that.

No, his hoobae. Sleeping beside him.

Damn he should really touch some grass and sort these feelings out. Unprofessional much, Zhang Hao.

He must've not been dating for awhile for him to act like this. Not that he wants to be introduced on blind dates Kuanjui always brings up though.

"We have a new patient at ward 104, here are his records." Gyuvin passed the folder on his hands to Hao. Hanbin isn't sure if he pays too much attention, but he is sure that Hao's expression drop.

"Is there something wrong Prof. Hao? You're turning a bit pale?" Gyuvin reached out to the older with a hand on his shoulder, slowly soothing it to calm him.

Hao was always grateful for a reliable resident and friend like Gyuvin, who always keeps him in check and is a shoulder to him. At that moment, that hand of reassurance sure did help him regain his composure. Especially in front of the interns.

Hao was never a very expressive person and definitely holds pride—keeping things to himself to deal with it alone.

He recollected himself, huffing out a breath. Closing the file hastily, he muttered. "I'm fine. He's resting in the ward now, isn't he? We'll go in at 11 a.m.," He was about to walk away until he halted. "Uhm, I'll be outside...for awhile. If you would need me."

His speech was everywhere after looking at that file. What caused him to be so shocked? Hanbin wondered.

Should he be worried?

"Guys, I'll check up on Prof. later. Let's give him some space first alright?" Gyuvin said and they complied.

11:06. The clock read. As the four of them made their way to ward 104, which Hanbin realised was one of furthest wards he had to go from reception.

The walk there was quiet, with their hast footsteps on the marble floors. Hanbin envisions it as a scene straight from a k-drama, where they were the main characters from a romance comedy medical series. It's giving romanticism when life gets too hard, much?

Okay, sorry the joke wasn't that funny. But you get it. ;)

"Lee Jeonghyeon... Lee Jeonghyeon... Yeah! Should be here!" Gyuvin looks at the labels on the front of the beds. The patient lying on the bed was, of course Lee Jeonghyeon, who's birthday is on the '11th of September 2001' as said on the label on the bed—oh? he's the same age as Hanbin.

His hair is perfectly parted with clear skin, piercings on both his ears—a total definition of ideal type of most girls. Even in the patient gown, Hanbin could see his admirable muscular build.

"Patient Lee Jeonghyeon. According to the patient chart, you have a history of high blood pressure and," Hao looks over the file to glance at Jeonghyeon in the coldest glance possible—Hanbin reckons. "you're admitted in here for, digestive issues."

"Yes, Hao—" Hanbin notices the smile Jeonghyeon gave to Hao, as if they had known each other before—but surely aren't on good terms right now given Hao's expression.

"Dr. Zhang." Hao interrupts.

"Dr. Zhang." he repeats as his smile slowly disappeared. "I get it. Dr. Zhang," he glanced over to the interns. "Don't you already know of these? I've had them ever since we were together. Why repeat them again as if we're strangers?"

Anyone could tell that Hao visibly stunned, words stuck on his throat.

"I- I don't know what you're talking about. While you're being admitted, we'll run through scans and tests. Please cooperate with our staff with your adjusted meals in the hospital, it's to aid with your recovery."

Jeonghyeon opened his mouth to say something, but Hao had walked off as soon as he ended his sentence.

Hanbin heard Jeonghyeon scoff, but with a tinge of hurt in his voice. "Gotten more feisty I guess."

Hanbin wants to follow his intrusive thoughts and give Jeonghyeon the biggest, fattest, most bombastic side eye ever with an eye roll, (because he knows he might not win in a physical fight, and that he's still an intern in a hospital with a bunch of sunbaes and patients around him) but he resists.

As they caught up to Hao outside the ward, Hao suddenly asks in the midst of the awkwardness. "Hanbin, have you recovered? Are you feeling better from yesterday?" Hanbin's cheeks flushed. He nodded and reassured him—simultaneously praying that no one could see the pink flush on the tip of his ears and cheeks.

"That's good. If you ever feel sick, do let me, or anyone know alright?"

Hanbin flushed even more.

And Jeonghyeon, with the bed closest to the exit of the ward, could hear Hao's concern through the thin door.
