It was just another day for her, walking home from school with her friends and chatting. She was a girl standing at 4'11 with black hair that reached below her shoulders, wearing her school uniform. Her dark brown eyes held a mysterious spark whenever she read her favorite books or webtoons. She was just an ordinary girl with simple likes and hobbies,
That was until the tower appeared. When it showed up, everyone was shocked, confused, and some even panicked, believing it was the end of the world. But Jae Kim was different. Her reaction was well, what do you call it? Happiness? Enjoyment? Or was it the thrill pumping in her heart from the fact that humanity was about to discover a new world?
Her friends acted way different than her, they were well... Scared, they are not excited about it at all, and the neighborhood she lived at? It was the same as Jae's friends, you could tell from the air that they were all scared, nervous, all kind of things in the similar summary,
The tower was said to be a an endless stories, no one knows how many floors it had, they only said that the only way to make the tower disappear is by clearing it.. but no one has done it yet, and now, there are things given to the people called the 'Screen' it was something only the given people had, it shows the skills, the strength and weaknesses of the one who has it, and it was ranked from F being the lowest to A or even S, the highest, and of course, only the selfish or people who had money were the highest ranked, or maybe a few people who were commoners or normal people,
Even though Jae wants to go there, she's either gonna spend money to get an awakening or hope to get an awakening,
But there was a guy that awakened in their school, his name was Seung-ho, a year older than her, she was in 7th grade that time so he was in eight grade,

He had silver hair as his mother was a foreigner, him and Jae would sometimes meet as him and her brother were friends,
His view on Jae was..well.. he always felt this thump in his chest whenever he saw her, for Seung-ho, Jae was someone that he said to be his saviour, his saintess that he prays to,
When he said this to Jae, Jae could only said that 'Theres no way you feel like that with me, plus you're probably lying, why would you like me?'
When Jae said that to him, Seung-ho, his heart always beats whenever he saw or think about Jae, and then when the tower came he awakened as an S-ranked player, so of course he became busy and was famous, him not wanting to make Jae hate him, he would only meet her in secret, but Jae would be pissed cause he would always bother her, and it has been exactly 3 years since they've last seen of each other,
And the 'Screen', because of it the people who were common were either looked down upon on, but since the government didn't want any trouble, they made the players not to hurt any citizen and that to protect them, but, there are still a few people who still looked down upon them,
And then, 2 years ago, a year after the tower's appearance, when Jae was going to meet her friend,
She saw her friend, getting choked by a player,
"Sarah!" She yelped as she runs to her friend,
By the time, the mysterious figure disappeared infront of her, as she held her friend sarah, she saw many blood near her stomach,
"J-Jae..?" Her mumbled to her,
"Ah.. your here.. say Jae.. should we... Try and watch that new movie?" Her friend mumbled as her tears flow down her face,
"Of course we'll do that, just- I'm going to call the emergency ok? Just please don't sleep! Please..!" Jae said to her as she cried, holding her friend's face,
Her friend panted as she tries to call the emergency, after she called them, the only thing she needed to do is to keep her friend awake,
Then suddenly, the mysterious figure that tried to kill Sarah appeared behind Jae, and then said,
"Seems like you lost someone yet again Jae....?" The deep voice muttered behind her, giving Jae Goosebumps
As she turn to see him, the figure was not there, and Jae's friend, Sarah was brought to the hospital,
And now, 2 years later, Jae was walking around the tower, she had awakened by luck, so she was glad that she didn't had to spend money,
Her rank was still not known as she hasn't registered yet, so she still has to register and since she was above 15 years old, she was able to get permission to join the tower runners, the players,
And now.. this I where her real adventure starts
