Chapter 2

Lisa and I were sitting on the sofa,staring at the ring as it sat there on the table. We held a mug of hot chocolate in our hands, getting cold as we, wide-eyed, sat there staring at the beautiful ring.

After I came back home, I immediately told Lisa everything about the ring that I knew. Lisa being Lisa, threw her head back and laughed, saying I've been reading too many books this summer. I narrowed my eyes at her and took the ring out and showed her. Her expression changed. Her face went into an amazed one then to an excited one.
"Omg omg omgggg, that ring, omgggg its soooooo vibrant. I mean look at that pattern, it has swirls and everything!" She said gasping for breath.

We sat there staring in the defending silence. I broke it then.
"Soo... Don't your think we should hand it to the police, it looks really expensive and someone is probably looking for it"
Lisa tilted her head and faced me.
"Yh.. I think you are right, but let's give it tomorrow I want to try it on!"
Before I could stop her Lisa plonked it on her self and was pretending to be all posh and placed on a strong British accent.
"Oh darling, please pass me some crumpets, and, a nice Earl grey would be fantastic!" We both started to laugh hysterically, hiccuping in breaths.
"Okay right, give me the ring and I'm going to the police to hand it in" Lisa them gave me a slum look then cute puppy dog eyes
"Oh pleeeeeeeeese can we have it for longerrrrr pleeese?"
I shook my head, giving her that look. She rolled her eyes and turns on the t.v.
"Great, at least we have some type of agreement, anyway I'm going bye! I shut the door mad made my way towards the station.

I started humming count on me by Bruno Mars, checking my watch casually, my eyes widened. It was 7:00pm! I needed to hurry because it was nearly time for dinner I started to speed up my walking. I looked left and right and a light bulb idea came to me! There was an alleyway that led right through the streets, directly opposite the station. I grinned and quickly dashed into it.

To my dismay, it was really dark and there was only one lampost to illuminate the way. I squinted my eyes,hoping, to see better. I looked harder, a fog started to fall which really dazzled me. I heard someone walking behind me.
Tick tock
There ticking of their watch was really loud, loud as if it was right next to my ear... I twisted my head to my right and saw sharp green eyes staring at me. I gasped a short breath as,suddenly, a white cloth went to my mouth.

A powerful smell overwhelmed me. I felt dizzy-everything started to black out.
The last thing I remembered was a pair of gloved hands catching me.
