TEN
Nathan sat in a bar pallor with his friend, a long-time friend. Timothy. He looked blue. He shouldn’t have gone too far or has he done something wrong? He loved her and he was eager to give them a chance. A lifetime. He just hopes Celeste does not let him down. He’ll be shattered.
“Hey, Nathan, you’ve been looking blue since I got you from the airport. Woman problem or otherwise.” Timothy asked.
Nathan knew Timothy for 5 years of his life and he sure hasn’t changed about everything becoming or being a woman’s dilemma. Well, he was right he was thinking about a woman. A special woman.
“Yeah, I proposed to her but I await a response, she’s been bitten once so she’s scared.” He sighed.
“Don’t worry, my friend, she would come around if she loves you enough, think positively okay, cheer up.” Timothy smiled. “I have to go now; my wife is going to be getting worried about why I’m late. She sent her regards to you.
Nathan looked at Timothy and smiled. A family man. He had his wife, son, and daughter very much. Their relationship had been a good one, which he wants for himself too. Timothy left the bar patting his shoulders. “Think positively.” He said assuring him then left the room.
“I hope so.” Nathan sighed heavily.AT THE RAILWAY STATION.
Celeste got there even before the train would arrive. She sat on a bench across the rails. She’d made up her mind now, she’d been sad and content for so many years now. It was time for her to be a little selfish. She was beginning to think happy and greedy. She is being celibate for so long, she’d still had the time to correct her mischief. Thanks to one guy, who opened the fairytale gate once again for her. A new adventure.
The train arrived, Celeste stood up wondering if he was going to arrive today. She searched for Nathan. Five minutes later, no signs of Nathan nearby. Is he coming today? Was he going to…no…no, did he mean this by saying “Never.”
Filled with fear and regret. She started panicking, loitering around the station.
Nathan was still on the train, at the back sit watching her pace and anxious all over. He got down from the train.
“Hey!” a voice called out to her. She looked up. It was the right person she was expecting. Nathaniel. She ran to meet him.
She’d come to care, protect and love this man. Nathaniel Bernard. She hugged him tight when she met him. “I love you…Yes…I love you very much.” She said.
“So, is yes, my answer?" he pulled her free holding her hands.
“Yep, yes, yes, I’ll marry you.” She cried happily.
He hugged her very close to his heart. He loved her a lot.
She loved him. He had a family now. A family would protect, care for, cherish, and love till death. He smiled at himself “Forever, together.” He whispered to himself.
When they got home, Celeste and Nathan were in the bedroom, folding Nathan’s clothes back into the wardrobe. Nathan was watching her instead of tidying the clothes. She’d pulled her hair into the pony again. He chuckled to himself. Her brown eyes look away but happy. Maybe because he influenced her. He was responsible for that weary look. She probably didn’t sleep a lot last night, expecting him. She was a cold, independent strong woman before now. All different thanks to him.
He walked to meet her and held her back to him, he dunged his hands on her waist. Her hands held his as he held her. Feeling his warmth, too comfortable, she smiled.
“We still have to cook dinner.” She said laughing.
“I know. Later. I love you” he said nibbling on her nape eyes deepened, “he had that look when…Oh no.” she thought.
He removed the band which held her hair, her hair poured down like a waterfall. She had long hair, but she refused to cut it, her hair, her auburn hair reached back almost reaching the end of her back, her waist.
“I like your hair down, you have a lot of hair.”
“so do Carly, but ripped it, cut it short”
“I’m very happy, I promise I’ll never leave you”
“I trust you because I love you” she smiled.
He cupped her face, kissed her hair, forehead, eyes, and nose then smiled as he lowered his mouth to hers. His other hand was in her hair. She responded to his intimate touch, his hand holding her very close. Her hand was in his hair and the other on his back, biting into him. He dragged her up against him and kissed her hard and long. By the time they finally came up for air. Celeste had nearly forgotten her plan to make him suffer.
He nipped at her ear, turning her into a puddle of need.
“I… we have to cook dinner”, she managed as he stroked his fingers down her throat, lingering where her pulse was beating furiously.
“I don’t care. I know but I want you. “his caressing touch continued downward, slipping below the neckline of her blouse. He tormented her with kisses as he unbuttoned her shirt, and pulled them down her arm “So, what do you say in playing a little stop and frisk?
He pressed her against the wall, effectively trapping her as he slipped his knee between her legs making her ache for him. “I’d say a good venue is definitely in order”.
“Good idea”. Without taking his mouth away from hers, he dropped her on the bed. Falling on her.
It was on her second bounce. Nathan thought he will come to terms with Celeste as a lover. in Neil’s life.
“so he said as he lay down beside her and slide her trousers down her legs. “what’s the verdict? Are you going to marry me?”
“of course. “I am” She pressed her hands against his chest where his heart was beating as wildly as her own. “I’ll want us to have more children. “she pressed her mouth against his. “one would be a nice start”.
He tangled his hand in her hair and tilted her head back. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah. I was hoping we might get started on that project today”
He closed his eyes briefly. Then open them and grinned
“I will sure as hell not going to argue with that”
This time their lovemaking was different. As if committing to a future together had moved it to a higher plane. When Nathan braced himself on his elbows and fixed his dark gaze on hers, Celeste looked up into his ruggedly handsome face and knew she would be forever grateful to that fate. Apt one.
As if reading her mind, he smiled as he linked their fingers together. “welcome my love” Then he slipped into her, feeling her loving her.
