This morning waking up and getting out of bed felt easy. Georgia being on my mind has helped so much but never would I tell her that. I think it's also the thought that the quicker I get up and ready, the quicker I can run to breakfast and see her. So that's what I did. Me and Rach must have had the same idea because she was up and buzzing around the hotel room too. We definitely looked like two fifteen-year-olds running around to go to school to see their crush but I'm living for it.
Like I mentioned before, in school was the last time I had a crush on a girl so let's just say 10 years of boys and heartbreaks and now I've fallen back in the fruity queue and I never expected this, especially not with Stanway.
Rachel was determined that we were running down to breakfast. I wasn't on the same page. I had just had a shower and I smell good and I'm not ruining that to run to the dining hall when it's literally a one-minute walk.
Walking into the dining hall, Rachel immediately caught my eye. She was as red as a fire engine and was huffing and puffing sat in the corner. She ran for no reason, Ellie and G aren't even there yet. I laughed walking towards her which earned me a middle finger. Once she got over how silly her idea was we both made a joke out of it and got our plates.
One thing about me and Rach is we either sit in a big group of girls or we sit isolated on our own. It depends on what mood we are in and what vibes the rest of the girls are giving off. Today we had limited options because not many people were down yet- but that would never phase us.
Ten minutes after we had sat down the rest of the team started swarming in, all laughing that we were usually the late ones and today we were the early birds but none of that mattered when I locked eyes with Georgia. She walked in, grinning with confidence and I just knew she was going to be up to something. She got her food and walked over, still with that mischievous look in her eye.
G: Good morning you two
M: MorningI wanted to be annoying, I wanted her to question why I'm being blunt with her.
R: Please excuse Millie I have no clue what has crawled in her underwear since we have been down here
M: I'm fineGeorgia and Ellie sat down and as Rachel does when she likes someone she slipped into La La Land and was beelined for Ellie and only Ellie. They were having their conversation and that's when G turned her attention to me. Butterflies is not the word for the eyes she gave me before she finally spoke. How is she doing this to me?
G: So miserable, what's the matter with you?
M: Excuse me? Miserable? Not me G
G: Hmm so are you not happy to see me then?
M: MehhhGeorgia's face dropped like she'd been slapped round the face so I decided it was time to stop with the cold act.
M: I'm joking soft arse
Georgia just returned a smile.
R: The girls want a games night tonight, so be in the chill room at 7
M: Nice of you to acknowledge us you two, you've been dancing with Alice in Wonderland for the past 10 minutesWe all just laughed. It is time for training which I am always excited about.
Sarina came out to the pitches briefly and explained that today again would be paired work and reassigned the pairs. Today it is me and Rach. We are buzzing. We did some long and through passing into finishing and ended the session on a 2v2 tournament.
Sarina: So in the finals of the tournament we have Millie and Rachel taking on Georgia and Ellie. If you think Georgia and Ellie are going to win please stand on the right, Millie and Rachel on the left. Choose now and stay on that side, the losing side and team will complete the suicide runs at the end. For every goal conceded that is 1 suicide run.
When me and Rachel heard this forfeit we knew we had to win, no matter what. And we weren't settling for anything less. The game was two minutes each way. So we had 4 minutes to not only win but to make the forfeit as horrible for G and Ellie and their traitorous supporters to endure.
Rach scored within the first 30 seconds which was a bonus but this just fuelled Ellie and Georgia's fire. I scored just before the end of the first 2 minutes and hand signaled to Georgia and Ellie 'You're going down'. This made them and the team laugh. The girls all knew how competitive the Daly dose of Brightness can be so why any of them picked to stand away from us is mind-boggling.
It was 3-0 and there were 30 seconds left so at this point Georgia and Ellie's plan was to decrease the deficit so that they wouldn't have to do as many runs. Distributing the ball to Georgia with a through ball I had two options: let her score or take her down. I choose the second option and just nudged G off balance. This didn't go to plan as I expected because as she began to fall I could feel her pulling on my arm and before I knew it I was too on the floor, on top of Georgia.
I rolled off of her laughing uncontrollably for a good two minutes. The whole team went into hysterics at the fact Georgia had been bodied and she lost which we would all be hearing about for ages. Finally getting back to my feet, I held my hand out to help Georgia up which I instantly regretted as she pulled me straight back to the floor.
M: If you wanted me on top of you you should've said
Georgia lay flustered once again and I got up and started walking towards the changing rooms with the girls that actually believed in us. As we all walked towards the door, I could hear the girls all mocking Georgia. What for? I don't know yet but I'll find out later.
Games night will be interesting for sure.
