LAMONTS

As she pulls into work hours later, she sits in the vehicle and watches people walk by as they sneeze and cough in twos. With her senses becoming heightened, she sits there and waits to see if there's anything else going to happen. With nothing psychically going on around her, and with her senses lowered within seconds, Amelia pulls in next to her and gets out of the car. Walking to Luna's passenger side vehicle, Amelia asks, "What are you doing? Are you coming in?"

"I'm coming in. I'm not feeling it tonight," she says as she gets out of the vehicle and looks around the parking lot, while they walk into work. Standing at the front door, she sees the new décor on the wall behind the counter and looks around the room. Sensing the energy changing in the tavern, she stares at the décor, walks behind the counter, and grabs an apron, and says to Amelia, "What is with all the dark art on the wall? This place looks completely different. And what's with Jackal next to our clock? That's creepy! You even painted the back wall black."

"I wanted to change the tavern. Give the place a different look. What do you think?" Amelia says as she looks at the art on the wall, while she puts her apron on. Grabbing a drink for a customer, she asks, "Don't you like the jackal on the wall? It does have a weird vibe. I found it at a flea market! I wanted to give the place more of a witch vibe than what it already is."

"I like it. The place does look nice. It's also dark. It's just the jackal. It's a little weird. Its mouth is stretched up to his ears, and all his teeth are showing. I can even see his back teeth," she yells as she walks to the backroom and grabs a box. As she bends over to pick it up, she senses Isla has posted on social media. Pulling her phone from her back pocket, she opens the social media and looks at the new picture of her leaning on the wall with her arms crossed. With her stomach instantly nauseated, she yells to Amelia, "I'm stepping outside for a minute. I'll be right back."

"Alright Luna. Take your time," Amelia yells as Luna closes her social media and puts her phone in her back pocket.

As she opens the back door and goes outside, she sits on the wooden bench, pulls out her cell phone, and takes a couple of pictures of herself. As she looks back at the pictures, she senses the heaviness of someone's energy lingering over her. Not knowing whose energy is sitting on her, she puts her phone back in her pocket, stands up, and walks into the tavern's backroom.

"Luna! Kyle's here," Amelia yells as Luna bends over and grabs the box of alcohol. As she walks down the hall and back behind the counter, she places the box on the floor and watches him get out of the vehicle. As Amelia watches him walk to the tavern, she asks, "Why do you think he's here?"

"I'm not sure. He probably wants food," Luna says as she stocks the alcohol on the shelf.

As he walks into the tavern, he sits at the corner of the counter, and says, "Hey Luna!"

"What are you doing here? Is everything ok?" she asks as she walks up to him.

"Of course, everything's ok. Why wouldn't it be? I just wanted to stop by and grab some food," he says, as he leans over the bar and kisses her on the cheek. As he sits back down on the barstool, he stares at the wall behind her and asks, "What's with all the dark decor on the wall? It a different tavern in here."

"Yeah, no kidding! I guess Amelia wanted a change. She wanted to give the place a witchcraft vibe. More than what it already is," she says as she grabs a drink, and puts it in front of him.

"Well, it's witchy alright. This place reminds me of a dark witch. Almost gothic-like," he says as he looks at the décor on the wall. With the jackal grabbing his attention, he points to it, and asks, "What's with the jackal?"

"I'm not sure. Amelia mentioned that she found it at a flea market," she says, as she rests her elbows on the counter and looks at Kyle, while Geo appears in her psychic space. With her senses instantly heightened, she turns around and looks at the jackal. Her stomach turns with butterflies, her body is pulled on, and she ignores it, and asks, "Why were you being a smartass earlier, and mumbling the words about me being a witch when you were walking by me?"

"I'm not sure why. I just did," he says as he shuffles himself around the barstool and watches her stare at the jackal. Snapping his fingers at her, she turns around, and he asks, "What are you thinking about? Why are you staring at the jackal?"

"Oh! I don't know why! I just am. Besides it's nothing. Nothing important. I was deep in thought. That's all," she says as she watches Geo dissipates in her psychic space. Taking another glance at the jackal, she walks out from behind the counter and says, "Kyle, I have to take this order. I'll see you later."

"Okay, Luna! I'm ordering some food and taking it home. I'll see you later," he says as he waves Amelia over. With her taking his order, he sits at the counter, takes out his cell, and looks at his phone. Sitting there and waiting, he watches Luna work and stares at the new decor on the wall, as he finishes his drink.

"Hey, Kyle! Your food is almost done. Would you like another drink?" Amelia says as she stands in front of him.

"No! I'm good," he says as he puts his phone in his back pocket.

As Amelia walks over to the galley and grabs his food, she walks back over to him, hands him the food, and says, 'It's on the house."

"Are you sure?" Kyle asks as he stands up and grabs the container.

"Yeah! I'm sure!" Amelia says as she takes a rag and wipes the counter down.

"Alright! Thanks," Kyle says, walking out of the tavern. As he passes Luna, he waves to her while he walks out the door. With him getting into his vehicle, he starts it, pulls out of the parking lot, and goes home.
