The weekend finally arrived and I found myself unsure about what to wear with my brunch date with Luke. I groaned in frustration.
I had already done my makeup. I just used some light foundation, concealer, mascara, and blush. I wanted to have a little of a natural look.
I decided to Group FaceTime my friends to help me.
"Hey guys," I sighed.
"Isn't your date soon?" Chrissy asked, snacking on some potato chips.
"Hey, I'm with Kendrick so he can hear everything," Ashley announced, joining the Group FaceTime.
Jenny joined shortly after. It looked like she had just woken up.
"I need help picking out an outfit for my date," I told them, panning over to my messy bed with all the clothes I had tried on.
"He finally asked you out?" Kendrick asked, sounding surprised. I could hear Ashley smack and shush him through the camera.
"Who?" I asked.
"He was talking about Luke," Ashley replied, giving me a smile. "I'm sorry I told him about it."
"It's okay," I replied. "Please help me pick."
"That sage green sundress of yours is cute," Chrissy pointed out. "I remember you wearing it once and never again."
I gasped. "Omigod I totally forgot about that dress."
"You can wear it with a white cardigan or shrug type thing," Ashley added. "Eep, try it on!"
"Okay," I laid my phone flat on my bed so they couldn't see me changing.
I held my phone up once I was done changing and showed them through my floor length mirror I had in my room.
"How's this?" I asked, smiling slightly.
"You look so hot!!" Chrissy exclaimed.
"I love your makeup and everything about this look," Ashley added.
"I agree," Kendrick replied.
"I'd smash," Jenny muttered, sounding like she was trying hard to not fall back asleep.
"Thanks guys," I chuckled. My phone dinged.
Luke: Be there in 3 minutes.
"Okay got to go guys! He'll be here in a few minutes. Thanks so much for the help," I replied, waving at them before hanging up.
I squealed slightly to myself. I'm actually so excited. I haven't been on a date in so long. I sauntered down the stairs. Chase was sitting on the couch watching tv. His eyes widened when he saw me.
"Date?" He asked, looking almost amused. He hadn't seen me go on a date ever so I'm sure he was surprised.
"You're going on a date, honey?" My mom asked, coming out of the kitchen.
I groaned. I did not need this right now.
"With who?" My dad asked, poking his head out of the kitchen.
"Luke," I admitted. "He's almost here."
Chase groaned. "You're not actually going on a date with him are you?"
"Why not?" I glared at him.
"He's my best friend. Mom tell her she can't go," Chase said, looking over at mom.
"She can who on a date with whoever she wants. She needs this," my mom responded, giving me a look of encouragement.
"Gee, thanks mom," I rolled my eyes. She was probably surprised I had a date also.
