I held my hands up as my mind started to race everywhere. What should I do? What can I even say to get myself out of this? Where did she appear from? The sky literally pushed her out here. This must be it. This is how I'll meet my ancestors. I reopened my eyes and was met with her black ones once again. I breathed in slowly as I felt how pointy the dagger was against my throat.
"Can you.. can you put this away?" I begged. "Please.."
The woman in front of me scowled as she narrowed her eyes at me. I took that moment to actually just take her appearance fully in. And damn, I wanted to do a double take but for obvious reasons, I can't. Unless I want my throat sliced.
She kept staring at me with her death glare on. "Who are you?" She growled out.
I bit the sassy reply that was almost at the tip of my tongue back and asked. "Me?" I hesitated. "I'm... My name is Beyoncé." Being nice is my only way out of this, or at least what will buy me some time to stall. Lord knows if I say something goofy, I might end up choking on my own blood. I shuddered just thinking of that.
The woman then looked around her in confusion. She took the whole scenery in, and focused deeply on the architecture. I saw so many emotions cloud her eyes as she took a sharp breath in. I swallowed the nervous lump in my throat down, and that kind of made contact with her dagger, which made her turn abruptly towards me.
"Where in hell am I?" She hissed as her eyes turned impossibly harder. Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry.
"You're in Los Angeles. Somewhere far away from your home I suppose." I said as I tried to be as nice as possible.
"You don't say?" She said sarcastically. Oh, so she got jokes now?
"I do sa-" I bit back the rest of my comment when she raised her hand to painfully squeeze my jaw. I winced as I felt myself being lifted off the ground. The more she did so, the more I was pressed against the boobs I just carved of this statue. Good God, I knew I needed to get laid but not this way..
"I know I've been sent to the.." she paused for a while as her eyes took in the statue that she was holding me against. I swear I saw some hues of gold swirl in the black pools of her eyes.. What in the entire fu..
Suddenly, a bulb went off in my head as I remembered what Rihanna had told me the day I met her.
"Someone will be coming into your life, knocking it upside down, quite literally. You have to help her, to hold her hand through it. Don't let her harsh exterior stop you from helping her, and enlightening her dark world. She's a piece of work, but she is everything you have been asking for. A goddess.."
No way... This wasn't true, was it? It was then when I started to take her full appearance in. Hair blacker than midnight, eyes as cloudy and dark as a brewing storm. Full heart shaped lips, a strong jaw, curves that can put Aphrodite to shame. She looked extravagant, untouchable, inhuman even.. The saree she wore was.. royal to say the least. It was embedded with as much gold as her headpiece and jewelry held. The accessories only added more fierceness to her regal look. For a moment, I forgot how to breathe as I admired how otherworldly she looked.
As I let my eyes run over her once again, I felt her eyes doing the same thing to me. My body came to life as I saw how her eyes took me in, they left a blazing trailing fire wherever she stared. It was so strange. I felt like I was going to latch onto her, so I tried to take a subtle step back but that seemed to break whatever trance we were in off as my hand hit the book I was using as my inspiration. I cringed as I heard it falling in a loud thud that made her flinch and almost aim at the book.
