"Josephine! Josephine! Jo!" My co-agent Nolan Redfield shouted as he barged into my room and jumped on my bed.
"Redfield! How in the hell did you get in here?"
"I have a copy of your key. Remember?"
"That's only for missions, not casual acquaintances." I grabbed a pillow and whacked Nolan up the head.
"So?"
"You're so fucking annoying." I laid back down and burrowed my body under the blanket, my head included.
"We have to get up and go see the boss."
"Why?"
"To see if we are ongoing on that mission to Milan tonight."
I laid down for 10 more seconds before I woke up and got dressed, which surprisingly didn't take long at all.
Nolan and I walked to the boss' office while he kept trying to grab my hand.
"Redfield, if you keep grabbing my hand, you won't have a hand."
Nolan laughed quietly as he slowly dropped my hand.
I rolled my eyes and opened the door.
Our boss, and my father, Leonardo McKinnon, sat at the desk reviewing papers.
"Ahh, Redfield, and my lovely daughter. What can I do for you two?"
"We are here about the Milan mission sir." Nolan as he leaned against the desk.
"Ah yes. That's right." Leonardo reached for a mission file, and passed it to me. "I've chosen you two, my best agents for the job."
"Why us?" I asked annoyed as I caught Nolan gazing at me out of the corner of my eye.
"Because you two are the best agents this organization has had in a long time. And especially, when you are experienced with weapons, hacking, and gymnastics."
"Yeah, me. Not him." I said.
"Rude." Nolan muttered as he rolled his eyes and placed his hands through his raven coloured hair.
"My point is, Josephine, you also need to learn to get along with Nolan. He's your co-agent whether you like it or not."
My father always told me to get along with Nolan, especially since our spy school days, which were not pretty.
"Fine. I'll try I guess." I rolled my eyes and I flicked my finger through my black and green hair.
"Perfect. I have no doubt." My father ushered us out of the office and went back to reviewing the files.
When we exited the office, Nolan took the file from me.
"Hey, give it back Redfield!"
"Oh no sweetheart. You must be nice to me, and then maybe you can have it back."
"You're such an asshole." I said in the sweetest and nicest way I could muster.
Nolan wasn't phased and even cocked his neck to the side.
"Fine." I rolled my eyes. "Please give me the folder, I'll be nice to you starting from this moment on."
"That's better." Nolan handed me the file and we entered my bedroom. We sat down at the large conference desk and opened it.
Pictures were strewn everywhere.
One showed a bunch of jewels.
Another showed a bunch of men wearing black clothes holding guns and bombs.
