"LAPIS!!!" Peridot screamed. She stumbled upon something. All of her memories came back to her "The wedding... I poofed. Lots of gems poofed... Lapis came back but... she left for the hills quite some time ago..." Peri thought. "Yo, P-dot, want some lunch?" Amethyst asked. "LUNCH?! She's been gone for over seven hours!" "P-dot?" "Uh- oh, yeah?" "Want some lunch?" "Erm, sure?" Peridot stepped inside. It was not as lively as when Lapis was here. "Looks like you need a lil distraction from your girlfriend" Amethyst smirked while Peridot was glaring intensely at her. "She. Is. Not. My. GIRLFRIEND!" Peridot screamed as she stormed outside, and used a trash bin cover to fly up to a high tree branch. Peri sat, curled up, sniffling. "Does she not want to be around me anymore? Am I too annoying? Did I do something to upset her? Man, I'm such a FREAKING CLOD!" Peridot felt a rush of air go by and said; "Go away Amethyst. I just need some time away from you since you were joking, and to be honest, your joke wasn't even funny! I think that-sniff- you should see what it's like in my perspective really. So just keep your freaking mouth shut." Peridot felt a hand on her shoulder, but she didn't budge. "Peridot, it's me, Lapis." Lapis said. "Lazuli?! You've been gone for what? Over seven hours? I missed you!" Peridot tackled Lapis into a hug, but Peridot ended up in the air, clinging on for dear life. "Lazuli... Lazuli..?" Peridot was close to shaking, but didn't want to rock to and fro in the air. Peridot was tearing up, and she tried to look Lapis in the eyes, but she didn't want to risk falling off. "LAZULI!" Peridot was close to sobbing. "Crud, yeah Peri?" Lapis saw Peridot's face and quickly pulled her onto her back. "Sorry, I was zoning out." Lapis rubbed her hand on the back of her neck. "Ooh, Peri wanna see a trick I can do?" Lapis asked "Yeah!" "Alright hang on!" Lapis shouted as she flipped upside down. "WHOA!" Peri slipped, and was now falling 100 feet down to the ground, where it would definitely shatter her on impact. Her gem wasn't made for that type of pressure! Especially with the height she was at. Peridot just accepted her fate, liking the wind as she fell. She smiled and said her potential final words; " I loved you from the get go and I still love you Lapis. I'll never forget you, and how you made me go from living the the thing humans call a 'shower', to living in that barn with you and Pumpkin." Peridot smiled one last time, before being abruptly stopped by something. "I'm not losing you right now Peri, especially when we had sort of a connection going between us. And, I love you back." Lapis turned around, and they kissed. "Thank you for choosing those as your last words. Even if they weren't, they were still just as special. Also when we get back to the barn, wanna take a nap?" Lapis asked. "Sure!" Peridot obliged. When they were back in the barn, Peridor was heading to her hammock when Lapis asked; " Where are you going?" "To my hammock of course!" "No, no, come here. You have one job. When you sense I have a nightmare, you will shake me and kiss me." "O-okay." Peridot jumped up into Lapis's high hammock and huddled up next to her and said one last thing before falling asleep; "I love you."
