However please leave your feedback as there is absolutely no way I can catch all of my mistakes.

The MC for this story will be a semi-insert but I feel the character is average enough to be relatable.

Position: Acting commander of Alpha Squadron/ commanding officer of Phantom platoon.

Training : TL Caddy has completed many courses during his time in the army and Task Force Black, codenamed Dark Eagle (an official name is not known to exist). From available records, he has received his Air Assault, Ranger, and Sapper tabs. These were awarded through normal means.

As part of Dark Eagle, a new abbreviated officer course was developed with a focus on learning in the field. Little information is known about the course other than its existence.

Being a part of SOCOM, the training and information beyond what is listed above cannot be independently corroborated.

From several inquiries, only vague descriptions of further training elements were able to be found. From the information gathered, the training is very similar to known Delta Force practices, but they differ in several key areas. Combat diving, thought to be the wheelhouse of DEVGRU, is one part of the mandatory training. JTAC training is seen as especially important since the chance that a dedicated JATAC will fall during an operation is an unacceptable risk. Most of all, a heavy emphasis on independence, with the above example showing this. Dark Eagle operators are meant to perform direct action operations without overt support for as long as possible.

Dark Eagle: Task Force Black is a special operations group under the purview of the army. Its time of formation is unknown. From operations that are known within the intelligence community, it would appear that Dark Eagle is a counterpart to the CIA's SOG.

The recruitment process of Dark Eagle is unknown, but it is speculated to not be strictly limited to military personnel. A few instances of young officers having ranks that would take several years to achieve through normal means have also been observed. Several instances of high school juniors and seniors leaving school and being picked up by an unmarked vehicle with government plates have been reported and subsequently silenced.

Any media reports that are published are removed within hours or shut down immediately by DDoS attacks. Families of the "victims" have never reported any disappearance of children that follow the above pattern.

My current belief is that Dark Eagle recruits from everywhere and anywhere. Based on the very limited information I have gathered, the only thing that limits a person's recruitment is capability and potential. Ranks are used as a means of denoting command rather than seniority; however, seniority usually follows the rank and is not a common occurrence. From what I have seen, it is a very specialized group that is meant to do everything under the sun. There have also been reports of many operators being pilots of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, making Dark Eagle capable of performing almost any mission in any environment."

Description: Mason is an average-height Caucasian male with a stocky build and muscular physique although cannot be described as a bodybuilder.
He has reddish brown curly hair that tends to form into large curls when long, usually worn in a combe over.
His personality can be described as a mixed bag. He is well known for making jokes but when the situation requires it can be razor-focused.
