Two Worlds Collide |Episode two| First Fight!

I could then feel a pair of arms around my waist and I was lowered to the ground, the bottom of my shoes soon touching soft ground. I looked up to see Hiei with his arm still linked around my waist, looking around at the surrounding area. I lifted my gaze to see Kurama grab onto Botan and land a few feet from us. Yusuke and Kuawabara made it safely to the ground.

"What the hell happened to our clothes?" I blurted out. Everyone's outfit had been changed -- all but Botan, who still wore her pink Kimono.

"Wha-?" Yusuke looked down at his clothes and blinked. "I could have sworn I had my school uniform on when I walked into that portal," he finished, tugging the yellow shirt he was now wearing. Upon closer inspection, it was noted that everyone was decked out in their Dark Tournament gear. Yusuke had his yellow and blue combo, Kuwabara had his white outfit, Kurama, too, had his white outfit, lined in black and gold, a rose colored sash around his waist, Hiei's outfit hadn't changed, and I in a black button down, a red tie loose around my neck, a black shirt -- a shade lighter than the shirt -- that reached above my thighs, an open, brown leather jacket covering the button down, stopping a few inches before the skirt. "It feels weird to be in this again... Stupid toddler not telling us!"

 "Where are we?" Kuwabara asked, fixing the jacket of his outfit.

"It's more like 'When are we?'" I corrected, looking over at the orange haired teen as I studied my clothes. Yusuke was right, it did feel weird to be in them again.

"The Fuedal Era," Kurama responded, releasing Botan and looking around, unphased by the change in wardrobe. "We're still in Japan, though." He turned to Hiei, who let me go and looked over at Kurama. "We should find a way out of this forest," he continued.

"The Fuedal Era?" Kuwabara echoed, blinking. "How did we....-"

"Remember that thing we walked into?" Yusuke cut in. "Koenma said we'd come here. C'mon Kuwabara, get your head outta your ass and listen." He grinned and Kuwabara glared at him. I sighed and shook my head.

Here we go again.

"Say that to my face, Urameshi!" Kuwabara shouted. Kurama sighed softly and turned from the two boys and walked over to one of the trees, placing his palm flatly against it, closing his eyes as he did so. Botan and I watched as Yusuke and Kuwabara insulted each other, voices rising.

"I suggest you two be quiet before you attact unwanted attention," Hiei muttered, glaring at Yusuke and Kuwabara. The two quickly grew quiet and Kuwabara huffed out an angry breath of air. I walked up to him and slipped my arm through his, pulling him away from Yusuke.

"C'mon," I told him. "Maybe you can sense a way out of here." I offered a smile and he looked down at me for a moment before returning it, along with a nod. He squinted as he looked around, trying to find a way to a village with his heightened spiritual awareness. I released him to allow him to do his thing and turned to face Hiei and Yusuke.

"You two should be nicer to Kuwabara," Botan spoke, taking the words right from my mouth. Hiei simply turned away, jumping up into the trees to try and get a good view of where to go. Yusuke laughed at Botan and scratched the back of his head.

"Why the hell would I wanna do that? That would throw our friendship off."

Botan shook her head with a smile, muttering, "Boys." I chuckled softly and stood with Botan.

"So, any luck?" I asked, slipping my hands behind my neck. Kuwabara nodded and pointed North.

"That should be the way. I can feel other people that way." Our gazes followed his finger and Yusuke turned to him with a skeptical eye before turning to Kurama. Kurama nodded and Kuwabara's jaw dropped in disbelief. "You think I'd send us in the wrong direction, Urameshi!?" Yusuke chuckled and grinned, shrugging his shoulders.
