I woke up earlier than usual and changed into my usual outfit. I put on a jacket, wrote a note to Luz saying I went exploring, and then left, Ezben following me and turning into a staff when we got outside and I flew off to the Emperor's Castle

Once I got there, the guards were chatting outside. When they saw me, they stopped and smiled, greeting me and letting me in
I did the same back and entered, making my way to the throne room. I saw Hunter waiting outside
"Hey Hunter. What's up?" I asked, a smile still on my face
"Oh hey, you're early today. We got a pretty simple mission today, but I think that's just because Belos was too scared to make us do anything too tiring. Why don't you go in and receive the orders?" Hunter said, smiling back. He wasn't wearing his mask yet, but his uniform was on
I entered the throne room, and saw Belos yelling at one of the guards about not completing their job properly
"Yo, Belos. What's this about?" I asked, ready to defend the guard
"Ah, (y/n). You're here. This guard has not completed the mission properly, and will be punished severely for doing so" Belos said, the guard flinching as he did so
"And, what was the mission, exactly?" I asked
"He was supposed to catch a group of bandits, but instead, saved a young demon being held hostage, and failed to catch the bandits. That's why you'll be going after them, then-"
"Wait, wait, wait. Hold up. You're punishing him severely for doing that? Okay, so he failed at catching bandits, but it was a mistake. He was helping someone being held hostage, dude! You're saying the bandits should've just killed the poor demon instead?"I argued as the guard looked at me in hope and amazement
"No, that's not-"
"Then what did you mean by it? Listen bud, he was trying to do the right thing! So I suggest you let it slide and just forgive him like a proper emperor would" I said walking towards him
"I suppose you're right. Steve, your off the hook. Now, go to your post" Belos ordered
"No, Steve. Go to the barracks. Get some rest. You deserve it" I said, looking at him
Belos sighed "follow (y/n)'s orders. I can't defy them anyway"
Steve saluted and turned around. He looked at me and said "thank you, Iron Guard"
"No problem, dude. And call me (y/n)" I said, smiling at him
He nodded, and exited the throne room
"So Belos, what's the mission?" I asked
"You have two missions this time. The first one is to take down a group of bandits. The second one is to go to the Blight Manor and deliver these files to Alador Blight. It's a project that I want him to build. Take the Golden Guard with you" he said, handing me a file. I pressed my ring, transforming into my uniform and put the files into my infinite pouch
"Alright. I'll be back later, Belos. See ya!" I said, walking out the throne room
Hunter was still waiting outside for me as I exited
"That took long. Got the mission?" He asked, his mask now on
"Yeah. We gotta take down a group of bandits then get soke files to the Alador Blight" I said
"Ah, he must be talking about the Flippin Foxes. Those guy are like the mythical beings, foxes"
"Foxes are real..." I said
