{The one that got away}

No one's pov:
Muzan kibutsuji..was finally taken down..finally dead..after many many years of torture due to him, he finally got what he deserved. Unfortunately not everyone survived this battle, only a few made it out alive. On the ground somewhere you can see a black haired male holding onto a pink haired girl wrapped in a striped haori. It was none other than Mitsuri Kanroji the love hashira, and Obanai Iguro the serpent hashira. Both crying, not sad tears. But happy tears. It's unfortunate that obanai had to tell his love how he felt just now.. with her dying in his arms, but he wouldn't let go. "WAHHH! I'm so happy iguro! So very happy!" Cried mitsuri, she finally found someone who loved her for who she is. The reason mitsuri joined the demon slayer corps was to find a man, when she was younger she had trouble finding that due to her unusual hair color. But here she was, in the arms of someone who loved her for who she was.."Hey..hey iguro.." mitsuri sniffles and whispered, "hm?..'' "if..if were..if were reborn as humans..in another life..can I be your bride!" Mitsuri managed to say, despite her being in a lot of pain. She needed to tell him. She wanted to be his wife, his love, his forever. Obanai could feel a ghost blush on his face, this caused him to hold her tighter but not too tight to the point she would be hurt. He felt tears fall down his face and into her hair. "Without a doubt..if you say you'll have me..i promise I'll make you happy and protect you..mitsuri kanroji.." and with those final words..they both closed there eyes. A kakushi went over to them, they try to gently pull mitsuri off of obanai so both can be buried, but he..obanai wouldn't let go. Even if he wasn't coherent, even if he was dead he wouldn't let go. The kakushi took note of this, and decided if he wasn't gonna let go it's best if there buried together. The serpent hashira holding onto what he treasured most, despite both of them being dead. They both made an internal promise. They will meet in another life, no matter how long it took, they wanted- no, they needed to meet again.

The sound of an alarm clock can be heard, it was around 7:00 am. A groan of slight annoyance and tiredness can be also h]be heard under a mountain of blankets. "Sis! Hurry up and get your butt up!" Said one of her siblings, her little brother makoto from downstairs (fan made name, we don't know much about mitsuri family so it's fanmade) The girl known as "sis" hit her alarm clock so it would stop beeping. A bunch of blankets fell off as she got up. Mitsuri Kanroji, age 17 and in a family of 7, counting herself. She had four siblings, and then her mom and dad. The pink haired girl got up, did her morning routine, brushed her teeth and unusual pink hair, with green fading at the bottom. After getting ready she put on her uniform, and looked into the mirror. She put both hands on her cheeks and gave them a light pat, "you are strong! You are beautiful! And your very sweet!" She said to herself while looking in the mirror, she always gave herself compliments before she left her room and feeling ready to take on the world. Today was especially good for her! She was gonna confess to her crush, his name was mori Himaki, To her he was a god. He was so dreamy and handsome. She could stare at him for hours. Mitsuri grabbed her school bag and ran out of her room feeling confident and happy, she ran down and grabbed a piece of toast and put some strawberry jam on it. "You seem in a good mood dear?" Her mother took note, she knew about this little crush her daughter had. "Don't tell me your gonna confess to that piece of junk" her father said, annoyed due to the fact her daughter had a crush. "Dadddd! He's not a piece of junk! He's like a prince! He's so dreamyyy" his daughter whined, her father, Kotaro let out a chuckle of amusement. "Whatever you say dear, im just looking out for you. Just let me know if he breaks yours heart''. Kotaro gave his daughter a light kiss on the forehead as she ate her toast, she had still felt hungry so she grabbed some mochi from the fridge and started to eat. "Hey chill out!" Her mother, satsuma said even knowing her daughter had a huge appetite. After mitsuri ate most of the families mochi, she got up giving all of her family's members a kiss. Her mother, father, and siblings. She grabbed her bag and ran out the door, day dreaming about her dear Prince Charming. "Hehe so dreamy~" she started to talk to herself, thinking about that maybe they can become a couple. She was day dreaming so much that she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings. She let out a small oof as she bumped into someone's back. "Hey, watch it lady!" The person she bumped into let out with a cold tone. "Ohmygoshohmygoshimsorry!" Mitsuri let out in one breath and started to bow repeatedly, her three braids bouncing as she does so. The man she bumped into was two inches shorter than her, he had black long hair and a mask on. He also had heterochromia, one of his eyes were a goldish yellow, and one teal blue. He turned around to look at the person who had the audacity to bump into him. He could feel his eyes slightly widen..it..it was a girl. "I apologize really! It won't happen again!" She pleaded, thinking he was probably pissed. The man just sweat dropped a bit, but he would be lying if he said aloud that she was ugly. "It's- whatever" he replied, mitsuris eyes light up like a kid on Christmas Day. "Oh good I'm glad your not mad! I'm mitsuri Kanroji! It's a pleasure to meet you mister! Oh my god your eyes are gorgeous!" She started to ramble a bit, the mysterious man could feel his face getting flushed, due to this girls brightness. He muttered his name "obanai iguro..and don't call me mister" Mitsuri nodded and smiled feeling happy she got to know his name. Obanai looked at her for quite sometime..there was just something about her that seemed faintly, like very faintly familiar.
