"Your my boys I can't lose either of you."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That morning Eddie and Ashley were taking Chris to school before work. As they walked up to school he asked them something.
"Hey, Dad, Ashley. Do you think dogs know they're dogs?" Chris asked and Ashley laughed.
"What do you mean?" Eddie inquired.
"You-you know, like, I'm a person and is a dog. But do dogs just think we're bigger, less hairer, smarter dogs that walk funny?" Chris explained.
"Thank God for you, kid." Eddie smiled.
"All right. You got to hustle up. All right?" Ashley hugged Chris and so did Eddie.
"Love you." Chris's hugged us.
"I love you, too, son." Eddie pulled away.
"Have fun at school, bud." Ashley said.
Chris then walked to school as Eddie and her watched him.
At the firehouse Eddie and Ashley were by the engine cleaning it when all of the sudden the ground began to shake. Eddie rolled out from underneath the engine and Ashley fell backwards hitting my head. She couldn't really see anything while she was on the ground 'cause smoke began to cover everything.
"Anybody else back there?" Bobby yelled.
"Over here!" Ashley yelled back and Buck helped her up, getting her out of the firehouse.
The ground then stood still and everyone looked around to make sure it was completely over.
"Is everyone okay?" Bobby asked.
"I hit my head pretty hard but I'm okay." Ashley nodded.
"Do you want me to look at that?" Hen asked.
"No, no, no I'm okay." Ashley said as she stumbled a bit, Eddie caught her and kept her on her feet.
"No you're not maybe you should sit down." Eddie looked over at Hen.
"I swear I'm fine." Ashley was finally able to keep herself steady.
"Maybe I should check you out first." Hen suggested.
"Seriously I'm oka-" Eddie ignored her and took her back inside.
Eddie forced her into a chair as he practically had to hold her down.
Hen checked the back of my head for anything.
"Everything seems fine just a minor bump. Hen said. Hen went in-front of her with a light. "Can you tell me what you year it is?"
"2018." Ashley responded.
"Okay, she seems fine. Do you feel dizzy or light headed?" Hen asked.
"Nope." Ashley shook her head. "See I'm fine." Ashley concluded and tried to get up but Eddie pushed her back down.
"Are you sure that's all it is?" Buck touched the back of her head.
"Yeah, she seems okay. Are you sure you don't feel dizzy?" Hen asked.
"Not really." Ashley shrugged.
"Okay, we have a long day ahead of us so let's get in the engine and head out." Bobby announced.
Ashley was about to get up before she felt two hands stop her. Ashley turned around to see Buck and Eddie.
"Are you sure your okay?" Eddie asked.
"Yes I'm fine." Ashley repeated.
"We just don't want you getting hurt." Buck reasoned.
"Both of you need to calm down." Ashley assured them as she followed Bobby into the engine.
