Rui looked up at him in confusion, "cursed energy?" He repeated with a raised brow, the name was foreign to him, he only heard it once or twice while he was still in the mountains before Yuji found him. Yuji shrugged and held the finger out towards Fushiguro, "Fine, here." Yuji said, just as he said that Rui tensed as he felt the same almost demonic energy as he did earlier making him look up in surprise.

Right above them was a curse making its way out of the ceiling, before Rui or Fushigruo could react the curses hand came slamming down in between of them, it would have crushed Yuji and his friend if Fushiguro didn't push Yuji away, "Run!" He yelled as he and Rui looked up at the curse only for the curse to grab Fushiguro and push Rui away with how hard it slammed into the ground of the hallway.

Rui grunted as he slid onto the floor looking up with wide eyes as he saw what was going on "Yuji!" He called out making Yuji look at him with wide eyes. "Rui!" Yuji yelled out in surprise and worry, "Run Yuji! Run!" He yelled out as the curse turned to face Yuji blocking the way to Rui. "Damn" Yuji cursed as he tightened his hold on his friend.

The curse opened its mouth as it prepared to eat Fushiguro. Fushiguro quickly made some hand signs before he got thrown around, "Nue!" Fushiguro called out but it was too late as he was thrown into a wall making the wall dent as Fushiguro coughed up blood. Rui narrowed his eyes and tightened his string before he made it loose and threw it at the curse before tightening it around the curse in an attempt to cut off its arm or at least distract it. The curse looked at him and his string before effortlessly whipping his arm up and around tossing Rui into a wall as well, Rui might be a demon but he has the weight of a kid so he went sailing through the air and made a dent into another wall grunting in pain as he fell to the floor his string around the curse loosing as Fushiguro's dogs melted away.

Fushiguro attempted to lift his head to continue fighting just as the curse let out a roar causing the electricity in the building to flicker before it all went dark, and Fushiguro was thrown out of the building with the curse following closely behind, Fushiguro landed on the walkway between the floors rooftops and tried to get up as the cursed ran at him, more red string appeared and wrapped around the curse at Rui stood with his feet dug into the ground with all his might to try and hold the curse back just enough for Fushiguro to at least get up, Rui grunted and sweated with how much strain was on him if he was in his prime it would be no deal but he hasn't been eating any humans and has been asleep for years making him weaker than he was.

Fushiguro saw what was happening and shakily rose his head and tried to shakily make a sign, "Damn it, why can't I think straight?" Fushiguro mumbled as his tried to make a sign only for Yuji to appear and to kick the curses head down as he used it as a spring, "Itadori!" Fushiguro called out in surprise as Rui's eyes widened as Fushiguro tried even harder to get up only able to sit up on his knees as blood dripped down his face.

"Your only chance is to take those two and run for it!" Fushiguro yelled out towards Yuji, as the curse roared again and broke free of Rui's strings making Rui yelp as he lost his balance and got thrown across the ground making him groan as he got dirt on his clothes and scraps from the floor and rubble. The curse roared and turned around and tried to swipe at Yuji only for him to use the curse's arm to jump in the air and doge it, "You're in big trouble yourself!" Yuji yelled as he turned and grabbed onto the curses arm trying to hang on as it swung its arm around in the air to get Yuji off before dragging him through the ground and throwing him in the air.

"Only a curse can beat a curse! You Cannot defeat this!" Fushiguro yelled out towards Yuji who was up in the air, Rui narrowed his eyes at the curse before throwing out his string again this time covered in his own blood and wrapping it around its lower body before taking it tight successfully tearing off its legs making it roar in pain before it slowly started to regenerate making Rui growl in anger, 'Damn it I really have gotten weak, I thought that I would have been able to cut its legs clean off'. "Is that your idea of a pep talk?" Yuji yelled as he fell through the air, before landing in front of the curse and jumping to doge its attacks. "At this rate, we're both gonna die!" Yuji yelled out as he dodged another hit and used his moment to yank the curses arm over one of the railings.
