Angie, an 18-year-old girl moves into a Remote Province and is welcomed by the Villagers. But is less welcomed by a Teen called Elysia. Her house had a body of water surrounding it mixed with salt. There was a bamboo bridge that can be taken off. Angie visits her and asks Elysia "Ang mga bagay ba na ito sa labas ng iyong bahay ay dapat na protektahan ka mula sa mga Manananggal?". Elysia replies "Ang mga ito ay dapat na protektahan ako mula sa mga Villagers. Mga Manananggal sila. Pinatay nila ang Pamilya ko.". Before Elysia can explain further a Villager is calling Angie outside. Angie exits the house and the Villager asks "Bakit kasama mo siya? Isa siyang Manananggal! Pinatay niya ang mga Kapitbahay!".
At night, Angie wakes up to hear a villager's scream. She checks the window and saw a villager being eaten alive. She screams and rushes to Elysia's House. Elysia lets her in and barricades the doors and windows. Elysia says "Sabi ko nga mga Manananggal sila!". The Villagers arrive surrounding the house. Angie and Elysia stay quiet.
Suddenly, a Villager breaks through and attacks Elysia, killing her. Angie screams and runs as fast as she can to exit the Village. Back at Elysia's house, Elysia wakes up and is alive, Elysia realizes that she is Manananggal herself. Elysia sneaks into a neighbor's house and found the horn-shaped bottle with a mysterious liquid that helps Manananggals transform. Elysia transforms into her Manananggal form and looks for Angie to protect her.
When one of the Villagers is ready to attack Angie, Elysia holds them off and shouts at Angie "Lumabas ka na!". Angie manages to escape the Village and go back to the City. In the Village in the Morning, Elysia in her human form cries tears of joy as Aswang Hunters killed all the Villagers except her. Back in the Village, Elysia dies crying tears of joy happy that Angie is safe.
