Keondre Jermaine Hayes:
Keondre a.k.a "Major" lived the typical hard life of a young black male. Born and raised in the projects, Major had witnessed countless murders, rapes, robberies, and drug sales, before he was even ten years old.Major and his younger brother Jacob, a.k.a Jake, were raised by their parents up until Major was seven, when their father had brutally beaten and killed their mother. Their father was then sentenced to life in prison with no hope of bail.
Since their mother was dead and their father in jail, Major and Jake were now alone and in the streets with no other family, except for a distant cousin of theirs, the only living family member they knew of, named Denise who was twenty-two years old.
Denise allowed them to stay in her two bedroom apartment, but she was still young herself and didn't have time to babysit no little kids.
Major was grateful to have somewhere to live, even though Denise was never there. But she would stop by from time to time, dropping off stacks of money. She'd tell them to hide the money and only use it for important things only, like food and clothes. The bills and everything else were always paid so Major never had to worry. The boys never knew how Denise made so much money. Jake suggested that maybe she was a stripper, but they were never really sure.
As the years had passed, Denise would stop by less and less. Major had gotten tired of waiting on her to bring him money, so he decided he'd go and find a way to make his own money.
A local drug dealer by the name of Rocky took Major under his wing and taught him everything he needed to know about cooking dope and selling it to the dope fiends. Even though he was only thirteen, Major caught on fast as hell and was bringing in more money than the older niggas who called themselves workers.
By the time Major was twenty years old, he had his own shit. He bought a brand new house and new cars, and moved his little brother out of the projects. Although he was still working under Rocky, Major was a BOSS. He ran a few trap houses around the way, and made business deals with big time cocaine merchants. He was on a come-up and wasn't gonna let anyone get in his way. With Rocky and Jake by his side, Major knew the sun would be shining his way soon enough.

Jasmine Camille Reynolds:
Jasmine lived a life that others called "easy". She had a roof over her head, clothes on her back and food to eat everyday.Jasmine lived with her mother until she was three years old. She was as happy as can be, but unfortunately her mother died giving birth to her younger sister, Dej'Hanni. Their father was a deadbeat and now that their mother had passed away they had to live with their grandmother.
From an outside perspective everything seemed to be perfect. But behind closed doors Jasmine and Dej'Hanni lived in a hell hole.
The girls' grandma Carla was a drunk and a crack head who took all her anger out on them. Their grandma resented them, she felt as if they were the reason her daughter was no longer living. So she abused them mentally, emotionally, and physically. She would beat them and leave horrible bruises, call them all types of names, and make them feel like dirt. Jasmine Tried pleasing her grandma by doing things for her, pamper her, and even buy her things, but nothing seemed to work.
As time went on, Jasmine grew tired of her grandmother's bullshit, and when she turned sixteen, she decided to get a job and start saving up money to buy an apartment for her and her sister.
About four months after Jasmine's eighteenth birthday, her and Carla fell out again. One day Carla came home high, and started beating on a sleeping Dej'Hanni, with a thick strip of plywood. Then proceeded to *attempt* to beat Jasmine, only this time Jasmine spoke up for her and her sister. With teary eyes and pumping adrenaline, Jasmine said what she had to say, packed their things and was out the door within the next couple hours.
Although leaving seemed like the perfect solution at the time, Jasmine regretted putting her sister in this compromising situation; they had no where to go. Moving out was always something they'd talked about but neither had put in any action as to where they'd go once they did move out.
So for about a week and a half Jasmine and Dej'Hanni slept on park benches or bust terminal booths, and even in an alley until the apartment landlord gave them the green light to move in. It'd seemed as though all hope was gone but now as the girls walked into their new 2 bedroom apartment, a slither of hope was now resurfacing.
Now at the age of twenty, Jasmine has her shit together. She's got furniture, a better paying job, and a nice car. What more could she need...??
