"I miss my steady hand
Can't say I'm a steady man."Just A Boy, The Backstreet Lovers

More bodies began piling up outside the doors, banging on the windows that led out into the school halls. Gyeong-su held onto the door with one hand and held his foot against the sliding part. "Hey, Joon-yeong!" He called out to the other doorkeeper. "I think you're right. They can't open doors."
"Let's not test it out." Min-joo spoke up, deciding it was best not to risk it. The rest of the students restlessly looked through the desks and backpacks that were abandoned, trying to search for a phone to call for help.
Min-joo opened desk after desk, searching through papers and folders only to find nothing close to technology. Behind her, she heard Cheong-san's voice. "Are you okay?" He asked, and as she turned around to face him, she noticed he was facing away from her, talking to On-jo instead. Of course, she thought. She turned back around and continued her search, which was cut short by I-sak's shouting.
"Here!" She announced, causing everyone to pause and run over to her. "I found one!" She opened the phone, swiping up before she sighed. "Shit, it's locked."
Na-yeon tapped I-sak on her arm. "Do something."
"What do you want me to do? It's locked." I-sak explained, though it didn't register in Na-yeon's brain.
Cheong-san looked over towards the door before he took the phone from I-sak. He held it up towards a zombie, trying to unlock the phone with face recognition but his efforts failed. Min-joo couldn't resist planting a small smile on her lips, though she tried not to laugh.
She cleared her throat and licked her lips, trying to hide the fact she was giggling at Cheong-san's efforts. "You know, you don't need to unlock it to make emergency calls." Cheong-san looked down at the phone, noticing the button that read "Emergency" on the lock screen. He embarrassingly dialed the number "112" into the phone as Min-joo tapped her fingers on a desk. She watched Cheong-san momentarily until she felt a set of eyes lingering on her. She caught the gaze of Su-hyeok for a moment until he averted his eyes to Cheong-san. Min-joo did the same.
The phone rang twice before someone picked up on the other end. "Hello?" Cheong-san spoke into the phone, holding it close to his ear. "This is Hyosan High School. A ton of zombies showed up at lunch, and they're eating people."
"Don't say zombies." On-jo mumbled to him. Min-joo sighed, knowing there's no way they'd believe him now.
"Did you happen to see the movie Train to Busan?" There was a pause as the man on the other end spoke. "This isn't a joke." Cheong-san began again, almost begging. "Everyone's..." He wasn't quite sure how to phrase it any other way. "Anyway, come quick." There was another pause until the phone hung up and there was silence in the room.
"No!" A woman's scream could be heard from down the hall, causing everyone to jump. The zombies that were banging on the outside of the classroom turned their head towards the noise and ran off with snarls.
"What's going on? Where are they going?" Gyeong-su spoke, peeking out the window and watching the students run off. He opened the door and poked his head out to see better, watching the zombies run down the hall and around the corner, out of sight.
"What are you doing, moron? Close it." Su-hyeok ushered him back inside in a hushed voice. He put a hand on Gyeong-su's shoulder. "You scared me."
On-jo approached Cheong-san. "And the police?"
"He said they'll come." Cheong-san assured, though not everyone believed him.
"Did they believe you?" Gyeong-su questioned. "What if they think it's a prank and decide not to come?"
