It was a one-in-a-million chance that they would meet. A true anomaly. And they only talked for 10 minutes before trading number's and saying goodnight before getting off the online chat room.
Dev had no business being on Omegle at 2 in the morning, but here she was skipping through strangers with the tag of 'country' to connect to people with. Peter was doing the same before he managed to text before she skipped, asking for her ASL.
He shot a quick text "M17, asl?" Her gut feeling said to stay so she hit him back with "F16, hru?" Peter grinned to himself before replying "Good, just bored. And you?"
Dev smiled and hummed to herself "I'm good. Just sick of everyone asking for my Snap or Insta." She shook her head in memory of the dozens of people she already skipped through, barely noticing the new text "Lol. I won't ask. I'm not like that" He smiled, his texts were quick, he was both bored and curious, waiting for her to reply almost expecting her to skip.
She was too curious. 'Curiosity killed the cat' was her life's motto. She laughed to herself "What brings you here?" Peter was snappy, too fast with his reply for someone who was "Just bored" he replied, shrugging to himself.
Peter was supposed to be asleep hours ago, he has school in the morning but he was glad he didn't "Where are you from?" Possible red flag, a little creepy but Dev's favorite color was red so she grinned and typed out a fast response. She almost shot him her fake alias state but changed last minute to "Texas. You?" She hit send before she could change her mind.
He beamed and sat up, elbows on his knees as he shot back "No fucking way. Me too!" She snorted to herself "I know I said I hated this but can I have your Insta? I'd love to keep talking and you sound nice"
Peter sighed and looked down before shaking his head and typing out a quick response "No sorry, I don't do social media. Could I have your number? It's ok if not" Dev sucked in a deep breath before shooting him her number "8**-*7*-***0. My parent's have my phone but you can text me in the morning." Again, she hit send before she could regret it.
Peter smiled and saved it "I'm Peter by the way" Dev smiled and texted back "I'm Dev, I have to go but I'll talk to you later. Goodnight :)" she exited the tab quickly before turning off her laptop for the night, smiling to herself as she plugged it in on her desk and going to bed.
