Hayley watched Klaus take a seat at the dining table, the air in the room feeling charged, a sober seriousness had entered the atmosphere and she went and grabbed the bottle of bourbon and two glasses from the drinks trolley and took them to the table sitting opposite him. Watched his long fingers open the folder and lift the first sheet of paper, "I will read one and then you read one and we will comment after each one is read, what do you say little wolf?" Klaus asked, watching her as she poured them drinks.

"Sure, so these are comments from another universe where we as real people are played by actors that look like us on another earth, their story is the same as our story, did you know that?" Hayley asked him and Klaus inclined his head in acknowledgement.

"Finn did mention it, there....," Klaus used air quotation marks, "TV show" ended when you, I and Elijah died correct?" Hayley nodded with a chuckle, loosening up slightly after losing her shit with Klaus earlier. She was feeling so highly emotional. She had been ready to leave to say goodbye and let him do his own thing, chase after Abby, but now she wanted to stay and see where this led them.

Klaus seeing Hayley's shoulders and her jaw relax breathed easier. Thankfully she had stayed and agreed to this, "Let us make a promise to each other, we will both give an honest opinion on what we read tonight, will you join me in that Hayley?" Klaus asked softly, waiting for hazel eyes to meet his and she lifted wide hazel eyes to him seeing the open sincerity in his green blue compelling eyes and drew in a deep shaky breath.

"I'm not good with....feelings, but I will be honest probably not as eloquent as you," She smirked at him, "But I will do my best," She agreed and Klaus nodded with a slight small smile, he read the first comment.

"Klaroline, I've gotta admit I don't really see it. I find it to be a very shallow relationship. Klaus fell in love with Caroline although he barely knew her and I can't really understand what it is about Caroline - an ordinary 17 year old high school girl - that would make a 1000 year old hybrid fall in love with her?

"I didn't fall in love with her, I was infatuated, her light drew me," Klaus clarified and Hayley nodded.

"And in regards to Caroline's well-being and happiness, being with Klaus definitely isn't the right thing for her. I mean, she married Stefan who is quite literally the polar opposite to Klaus and that just says it all. I just don't see how Caroline could ever love Klaus. She was attracted to him and intrigued by him, yes, but in regards to a real emotional connection and a long-term relationship I just don't think it's there between them. Also, as someone once pointed out, a big theme of the Klaroline relationship that the shippers seem to hold onto a lot is the whole idea of Caroline wanting to see the world and travel. But it's actually something she herself never once expressed. Klaus is the one that projected that onto her, telling her there was an entire world out there for her to see, offering to take her to Paris, calling her up when he was in New Orleans to tell her he wanted to share the art and culture with her - yet when did Caroline herself ever express wanting to travel or see the world?
