Episode 18: 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

As Felix and Hyunjin were getting dressed, ready to head out to the second tournament, a loud sound came from the doorbell outside Hyunjin's family mansion. Hyunjin looked at Felix, eyebrows raised in surprise. A visitor? He wasn't expecting anyone today.
"Are you expecting someone right now, babe?" Felix asked as he tied his belt on, looking more confused than anything else.
Hyunjin shook his head. "No, not at all. I told Minho and the rest to wait for us in the stadium while we're getting ready. Plus, the tournament will start in an hour..and I really had no idea who would be visiting me here, so..." Hyunjin finished off with a shrug of his shoulders and a smile at Felix.
Felix smiled back, and then pulled his boyfriend close and planted a chaste kiss on the other's lips. "Why don't you check it out? I'll wait for you here." Felix said before pulling away and going into the bathroom.

Hyunjin made his way downstairs immediately, running through the hallways in a fast pace and into the front door. As soon as he opened it, he was greeted by his parents' smiling faces. "Mom? Dad?" Hyunjin said curiously, his eyes widening. What was they doing here? "Hello, son." His mom said, wrapping her arms around him and kissing him on the cheek. "What a nice surprise! Didn't know you're coming home..today." Hyunjin smiled awkwardly, stepping aside to let them come inside. They both walked in after him, shutting the door. "So, how's your vacation in Vegas?" He asked his parents. "Well, our business is doing all great now..that's why we decided to fly back home early as possible. How are you anyways, son? What happened while we're gone for 2 months?" His dad asked their conversation, the air seem tensing up . Hyunjin knew there was probably a lot that they wanted to talk about, and he really didn't want to have this conversation right now because he doesn't have much time. Before Hyunjin could respond to the question though, he saw Felix running downstairs from the corner of his eye. Hyunjin's breath hitched in his throat and his heart fluttered with happiness when he noticed that Felix wore one of his black tank tops (not too tight) and a pair of basketball shorts that exposed most of his thighs. He look sexy as fuck. Hyunjin couldn't stop staring and smiling like a lovestruck idiot, but luckily, Felix didn't notice. He stopped in front of Hyunjin's parents with wide eyes before bowing politely and giving them a smile. "Hello." Felix said in a deep voice, and his voice was so soothing, it almost lulled Hyunjin to sleep. The boy took a step towards Hyunjin's parents and bowed again to them. "My name is Felix, and..." He turned his gaze over to Hyunjin, "...I'm Hyunjin's boyfriend." Hyunjin heard his parents gasp in front of him, and then they both stepped forward, engulfing Felix into a giant hug. Hyunjin could see Felix relax into it, melting into their embrace. The boy's cheeks reddened slightly, but he didn't try to escape. "It's nice meeting you too, Felix. Our son told us a lot about you." Hyunjin's dad said, his eyes crinkling in amusement at Felix's flushed face. Then he looked back down to meet the boy's eyes. "Welcome to our family." Hyunjin's mother added with a warm smile, patting Felix's arm. "Don't hesitate to tell us anything you need help with, alright?" She said, then glanced at her husband and smiled before turning her gaze back to Felix.

"We're just glad that our only son has a boyfriend now. We used to get worried about our dear Hyunjin all alone. Now you two can spend all day together. You're welcome in this house anytime, dear." She added, her tone softening as she stared at Felix lovingly. Then she looked back to Hyunjin, a teasing light returning to her eyes. "You're lucky your boyfriend is so adorable, or else I wouldn't be able to leave you alone for hours." She winked playfully at her son. Felix just laughed at the comment and went back to Hyunjin's side, holding his hand gently. Hyunjin felt himself melt into Felix's touch even more than before. They both leaned closer to each other to talk. The couple could feel that they were being watched, but they didn't care. Not even one bit.

"I think we should go now, love. We can't be late, I still have an announcement to make." Hyunjin whispered softly in Felix's ear. Felix nodded. They said their goodbyes to Hyunjin's parents, who had gotten lost in conversation and missed all of it, and then Hyunjin lead the way to the car to drive the fifteen minutes to the tournament grounds. As soon as the two were seated in the car, and the engine started humming under them, Felix wrapped his arms around Hyunjin and kissed his cheek, making Hyunjin giggle at the attention. Hyunjin loved that about Felix, the fact that he never treated him differently than everyone else did. Sure, Hyunjin has many admirers, chasing him everywhere but then again no one can change the fact that he had fallen in love with Felix and not anybody else's. Felix owned his heart now and he's glad that his parents loved his boyfriend for him too.
