The moon and the sun

He told me I'm his moon.

His guiding light in the dark

A serene presence, a calming spark

He told me I shine the brightest

when the world is at its quietest

The one he gazes at with wonder

As I dance among the stars up yonder

But tell me how is it being the sun?

You make flowers bloom in your wake

And the birds sing in delight

No one can dull your spirit and

Your smile is the radiant morning light

How is it knowing in your absence

The world would be cease to exist

Without your brilliance that never fades

The world would be lost in shades

Now imagine being the moon

And without your sun.

No one will light up the night skies

No guiding light in the dark to go by

For my light is but a reflection

Of your grandeur and perfection.
