DAYS WENT BY BEFORE THE TWINS SAW ANY OF THEIR FRIENDS AGAIN. Artemis was getting bored, there was only so much you could do at Diagon Alley and only so many flavours of ice-cream at Florean Fortescue's Ice-Cream Parlour. She got ready for another day of strolling through Diagon Alley and trying to steal some firewhiskey from the Leaky Cauldron much to Tom's dismay — although he has told her it gives him something better to do than clean glasses and serve customers, it also gives the customers a good laugh whenever she got caught so there wasn't much harm done.
The twins for once had gone separate ways while he stayed closer to the entrance to Diagon Alley, Artemis was walking past Gringotts. She seemed to be in her own little world as she walked past some weird shops, when she gave a man with neon green hair a confused look as if she were questioning why he would choose such a bright green. Apparently she wasn't the only one questioning the man seeing as she had bumped into someone else who was also giving the neon haired man a weird look.
She looked back the person she had bumped into, he was tall with sandy brown hair falling over soft brown eyes, and scars littered his face — he looked badass to her. "Sorry sir"
He gave her a soft understanding smile, "s'alright, it was my fault too"
"too be fair that guy's hair was pretty distracting"
The man chuckled and nodded, "it was wasn't it?" He scanned her face, dark hair that was cut to her shoulders, circular frames the fit her face, soft tan skin, but her hazel eyes — familiar hazel eyes — is what stopped him.
James... no is this— Artemis Potter. He was snapped out of his thoughts when the girl waved her hand in front of his face
"Sorry.. uhm" he apologised cutting off when he realised he shouldn't know her name, because that would only creep the girl out. Artemis grinned a mischievous glint playing in her eyes, she stuck out her hand "Artemis Potter" she said proudly "and you are?"
He shook her hand, "Remus Lupin" he responded. "Remus... Lupin?"
He nodded yes, "your name means moon moon?" Unexpectedly Remus let out a snort at her unbelieving tone, "your first name is Greek Miss Potter, unless you're Greek then shut up" he let his words slip, waiting for some bad backlash he found himself smiling when she let out a laugh.
Remus expected her to walk away at some point but he wasn't sure what to say when she started following him around whilst talking his ear off about random things. Remus found himself hanging onto her words, if this was the closest he would get to having his friend back he would take it.
"Do you like Quidditch Artemis?"
She let out a gasp, "Do I?!" Remus sighed when she started talking about things she had read in 'Quidditch through the ages' and how she was going to kill someone if Gryffindor lost the Quidditch Cup this year.
