BORING, WAS THE ONLY THING ARTEMIS THOUGHT THIS CLASS WAS. Utterly and stupidly boring, normally she loved Transfiguration but the topic of animagi was boring. They had gone through their first two classes already, Divination was a joke and Care of Magical Creatures ended badly. Not that she blamed Hagrid in anyway, she was looking forward to their first class with him. But Malfot — per usual — had ruined everything.

But she didn't want to think about that, she was more focused on tuning McGonagall's voice out. Yawning every few minutes as her eyes drooped closed, until her head thunked against the cold hard wood of the desk.

Artemis pressed her cheek against the hard cover of the textbook, trying so hard to pretend she was focusing. She shot up at the sound of the class being dismissed. Grabbing her book of the desk, she made her way for the exit.

This next class was something she was actually excited about, like every other year. Not because of the subject itself, no she loved that every year there was a new teacher. Loved the change of routine, though she had a feeling this year would be a bit different. Professor Lupin seemed to know what he was doing most of the time at least, a stark contrast to the last two professors.

Artemis and Ron walked behind Hermione and Harry, the two of them chattering about brooms while Harry listened to Hermione talk about what she had read in the new textbook. A few minutes passed and the Slytherin students finally arrived, standing in the back behind the eager Gryffindors. Lupin walked down from the stairs that lead to his office. The students stained at the wardrobe shook violently, "any guess as to what's inside?" Lupin asked.

"A boggart? Dean offered and Lupin nodded. "Very good Mr. Thomas."

"Next question, what is a boggart?" Lupin asked before pointing to Hermione for the answer.

"A shape-shifter, it takes form of whatever it thinks will frighten us the most." She explained everything else he could tell them about the particular creature. Lupin's eyes scanned the room before landing on Neville, "Neville, will you join me?" He asked, Neville looked over at Artemis who gave him a thumbs up in response and the boy moved forwards towards the front of the class, next to Professor Lupin.

"Now, Neville, what frightens you the most?" Lupin asked as he moved to stand in front of the boy. Neville in response mumbled something inaudible, "didn't catch that, sorry Neville."

"Professor Snape," Neville repeated louder this time and the class broke out into laughter, Lupin chuckled before nodding, "he scares us all."

"And I believe you live with your grandmother as well?" Lupin asked and Neville nodded, "yeah. But I don't want the boggart to turn into her either." Another chuckle of laughter filled the room.

Lupin looked back at the wardrobe, "it won't." He murmured, "I want you to picture her clothes, just her clothes in your head."

"Got it?" Lupin asked a few seconds later, Neville nodded and the Professor moved away from the wardrobe to stand beside Neville. "Now when i open that door i want you to imagine Professor Snape in your grandmother's clothes. Can you do that?"
