NARRATOR'S POV:

"Jenna, can we please go to an arcade," Y/N whined in a childlike manner. "Why are you so insistent on going?" Jenna asked in a slightly peeved voice. "Because they just opened a new one 10 minutes from here, and I haven't been to one in years," Y/N explained in a desperate tone.

Jenna looked at Y/N, who was staring back at her with pleading eyes. Letting out a quiet sigh Jenna replied. "Okay, sure we can go." Y/N's eyes lit up with excitement as she rushed to put on her shoes. Jenna stared at her with a soft gaze and a small smile.

Grabbing her keys, she walked with Y/N to her car. "Okay, what's the address?" She asked. "Oh right, here," Y/N said, handing Jenna her phone. "Alright, let's go," she said as Y/N smiled in delight.

The pair entered the arcade, and Y/N immediately began to jitter in excitement. Jenna laughed at her reaction slightly before placing a hand on her arm. "Calm down, love." "Right, my bad," Y/N replied, still smiling. "It's just ... this is really nostalgic for me," she told Jenna.

"Well, let's go buy our cards then," Jenna said. After purchasing their cards, Jenna turned to face Y/N. "Okay, so what game do you want to go to first?" She asked. Looking around at every game, Y/N spotted the one that she would always play. The one she was a master at.

"SKEE-BALL!" She shouted ecstatically. Her yelling attracted the attention of multiple people, making Jenna facepalm. "Y/N, you can't yell like that in public," she said, clearly embarrassed. "Sorry, I got a little excited," Y/N said sheepishly. "Oh, a little?" Jenna said in a teasing manner. Y/N rolled her eyes playfully, and began to make her way over to the game.

The two arrived and walked towards two separate skee-ball machines. "I'm about to wipe the floor with you. Respectfully," Y/N said with a goofy smile. "Oh no, you have it backwards. You're about to eat your words," Jenna replied while smirking.

"How about we make a deal," Y/N began. "If you win, I have to do whatever you want for the rest of the day," she said, as Jenna listened intently. "But when I win, you have to do whatever I want for the rest of the day," Y/N suggested. "You're on, prepare to lose," Jenna said.

The pair began to play skee-ball with Y/N in the lead. "Are you regretting taking up my deal yet?" Y/N asked teasingly. Jenna simply ignored her and continued on with the game. "Ignoring me? Very mature," Y/N said in a playful tone. "Sorry, I'm too focused on beating you," Jenna said cockily.

Y/N was visibly confused until she looked at the score. Her eyes widened as she read it. Jenna had scored 300 whereas Y/N had only scored 260. "You've got to be kidding me," she said, completely flabbergasted. "You were so busy trying to trash talk me, that you didn't even notice my score," Jenna told her girlfriend.

"That's not fair! I could've beaten you," Y/N replied, now in a grumpy mood. "Aww, you're such a sore loser," Jenna patronized. "Okay, how about we make a new deal," Jenna began. This piqued Y/N's interest as she listened. "Whoever loses the most games has to do anything the other person wants, for a week," she suggested. Weighing her options of either giving up right now, or attempting to redeem herself, Y/N decided to choose the latter. "Deal," she said while shaking Jenna's hand.

"Perfect, but now it's my turn to pick the game," she told Y/N deviously. "Fair enough, which one are we going to?" Y/N asked. Jenna looked around before spotting a Mario Kart game. Smirking, she pointed towards it. "That one." She said confidently. Little did she know, Y/N was an expert when it came to Mario Kart. "Let's go then," she told Jenna while walking towards the game.

Settling down in their seats, they began to pick their characters. "I call dibs on Dry Bones," Y/N said excitedly. "That's fine, Toad is the best anyways," Jenna shrugged. "Toad is overrated," Y/N replied. Jenna looked truly appalled by Y/N's response. "You're gonna regret dissing my man Toad," she told her seriously. "Sure I am," Y/N said, attempting to antagonize her. It was seemingly working, as Jenna rolled her eyes before beginning the game.

As the game went on, Y/N proved to be an absolute sweat at Mario Kart. Drifting on every corner, and consistently throwing shells at Jenna, she quickly won. "Remember when you thought you were going to win?" Y/N asked cockily. "Remember when you thought you were going to win at skee-ball?" Jenna questioned. Y/N pursed her lips while nodding her head. "Fair enough, fair enough," she replied. "But since I won, it's my turn to pick the next game, right?" She asked Jenna. "Yep, but don't worry, I'll beat you in this one," she said confidently.

"I'd like to see you try," Y/N replied. They were clearly becoming more competitive. Choosing the next game, they continued on with their competition.

The score was 11 points for each of them. "What do we do now. We've played every game," Jenna thought out loud. "There's one game we haven't played yet..." Y/N began. Jenna stared at her for a minute, before piecing together what she was suggesting. "No, no way, not happening," Jenna refused. "It's the only game left! Come on, this is the tie breaker," Y/N pushed. "That game is impossible!" Jenna complained.

"All I'm hearing is that you're scared to lose," Y/N said while crossing her arms. Jenna had a look of determination on her face as she stared at Y/N. "Fine, I'm in," she stated. "Great, let's go," Y/N told her as they began to make their way to the most cursed game in an arcade: the claw machine.

"So whoever can win a prize from this game first, wins," Y/N said. "You've got yourself a deal," Jenna replied as they shook hands. Walking towards two available machines, Y/N and Jenna began to play.

They both consistently missed, quickly growing frustrated. "This is impossible! Neither of us are going to win anyth-," before Jenna could finish her sentence, she watched as Y/N successfully grabbed an all black teddy bear and dropped it down the chute. Picking it up from the bottom of the machine, Y/N smiled excitedly while looking at Jenna.

"I DID IT, I DID IT!" She yelled ecstatically, gaining the attention of others around her. Jenna simply stood there, attempting to grasp what had just occurred. "... You've got to be kidding me," she said quietly. "Here, it's for you," Y/N told her with a dopey smile. Jenna grabbed the bear slowly as her eyes softened. Suddenly it didn't matter that she lost the bet. "Thank you, baby," she said to Y/N. "No problem!" Y/N replied before a sly smirk arose onto her face.

"However, as per the deal, I believe you have to do anything I ask for an entire week... starting now," Y/N said. Jenna let out a groan as she threw her head back. "A deal's a deal I guess," she mumbled.

"We can get to those favors later on, right now I wanna trade my tickets for that giant rainbow slinky!" Y/N said eagerly. Jenna watched as she ran off to the front desk. Letting out a sigh, Jenna looked at Y/N lovingly. "She's an idiot, but she's my idiot," she muttered to herself.

Extra:

Y/N was playing with her slinky before she heard a snap. She stared at it, heartbroken, as she had accidentally broken it. "Jenna ... I broke it," Y/N said sadly. Jenna looked over at her with a soft gaze. "I'm sorry, bubs," she replied. She could tell that Y/N was genuinely upset, so she thought of a quick solution.

"How about we go buy one at the front," she offered. "Really?" Y/N asked hopefully. "Yeah, of course," Jenna replied, happy to see that she brought a smile to Y/N's face. "Thank you!" Y/N said appreciatively before dragging Jenna to the desk.

Jenna bought Y/N another slinky, which she played with for a while. They began to play more games before Jenna heard a snap. "Jenna ... I broke it," Y/N said. Jenna stared at her in exasperation. "... I'm not buying you another one," she told her. "Yeah I assumed you wouldn't," Y/N replied.

Despite the fact that Y/N sadly broke two slinkies, they still had an amazing time at the arcade, and Y/N was fully prepared to use her hard earned favors.
