| You and Shoyo have a date night at your house which ends up involving the Karasuno group-chat. |

It was around 5pm and you sat happily on top of the counter in your kitchen, enjoying a delicious beatbun. Shoyo stood opposite you also digging into his meatbun, smiling like he'd been gifted the greatest thing in the world.

You watched the boy with a fond smile. Somehow he'd actually planned a date night, it may not be anything fancy but that didn't matter. You lived with your Uncle Ukai, meaning a zero boy tolerance especially anyone from the volleyball team. Yet somehow Shoyo had convinced him to spend the night away because he wanted to spend some time you, at your house. It did involve some begging and promising for about a week. He'd learnt how to be persistent by asking Mr Takeda for help (the trick was just to bother him until he gave in). Shoyo went to great and sometimes unnecessary lengths to make you happy in any way, even is he wasn't sure what exactly made you happy. (It was him)

As you ate your mind wondered around the kitchen, it was dark and gloomy, definitely not the cozy atmosphere you wanted.

"Candles!" You shouted out loud,

"Candles?" Shoyo tilted his head to the side, crumbs falling from the corners of his mouth.

"I'm going to light some candles help me down"
Shoyo could clearly see the excitement coming from your determined face and walked over with a smile.

"How many are we talking?" Shoyo stood with a suspicious look, his hands resting behind where you sat.

You gave a serious look, grabbing his shoulders. "All of them Sho."

He smiled and grabbed your waist to carry you off the counter, placing you down gently. "Well then you'll need my help"

You analysed his expression, squinting your eyes.
"You sure you can handle it?"

He took a deep breath "I swear on my life"

You laughed and grabbed his hand "then let's do it!"

You both spent the next 30 minutes finding all the candles in your house ranging from multiple different scents and setting them up around the house. You carried the candle operation, carefully picking out the best spots and never agreeing with where Shoyo wanted to put them.

"Here?"

"No

"Here?"

"No"

"(y/nnnnnn)"

"Sho you'll set the house on fire like that"

With some pleading and sweet talk he convinced you to put some where he wanted. Which by the way were outside??? You didn't have the heart to tell him it wouldn't work, he looked so proud of his idea.

Once done you sighed and admired your work.
"I'm simply an artist." you smiled with pride and felt joy at the new atmosphere. Did you spend nearly an hour doing it? Yes. Was it worth it? Definitely yes.

"Woahhh you're right it looks so much better now! N-Not that your house looked bad before! You're house is actually really nice! I like the errr...t-the patterns on the wall!" A blush formed on his face as he attempted to explain.

You laugh and hug his waist. "It's okay Sho I get what you mean calm down." He gives a nervous smile and hugs you back.

You look at the candles and gasp as you get another idea. "We should take a picture and send it to everyone! Suga will be so proud of me." You smile proudly thinking of the compliments (it's just candles y/n calm down)
"I'll say you helped to though of course."
