What is omegaverse?

Omegaverse is an Alternative Universe originated from the mythological pack system of wolves, it mostly centers around power and sexual hierarchy. In the world of Omegaverse, there are two categories of sexes known as Primary and Secondary Sex.

Primary Sexes consist of the known male and female sex, which is what determines the gender of someone. Secondary sexes consist of three different ranks: Alpha, Beta, and Omega. This is what determines someone's status in society, though it varies depending on the town or country, and their ability to reproduce.

Packs:

A pack in this world is considered a circle formed by family or friends that a person has or decides to have, whether they're adopted into a circle or they form one themselves.

Age of maturity:

A person can reach maturity around the age of 12 years old, this is when they present their rank to rest of the world.

The way someone presents their rank is with a strong scent that can either be dominant or submissive, like a masculine or feminine scent. Also the color of their eyes changes temporarily to match the ones from their inner wolf: if they change to red they're Alphas, if they chance to yellow they're Betas, if they change to blue they're Omegas.

This is also when Alphas and Omegas experience their first Rut or Heat, which they spend alone because of their young age. 

Alphas:

Alphas are at the top of the hierarchy, they have the most power out of the three ranks.

Characteristics:

Alphas differentiate from the other ranks mostly because of their physical characteristics and attributes. They're usually taller, broader, stronger, faster and naturally more attractive. They also have physiological attributes that the other ranks might not have, or might have in lesser amounts. They are cunning, strategic, intelligent and charismatic.

But Alphas are also the ones more connected to their inner wolf, which makes them more primitive when it comes to their natural instincts. They are aggressive by nature, specially in the presence of other Alphas. They are very protective of their belongings, whether it's an object or a person. They don't like other people touching their loved ones, which makes them very jealous beings. 

They have excellent leadership, they are competitive and don't hesitate to show dominance if the situation calls for it. They can make the other ranks submit to them, specially when they use commands or their Alpha voice.

Biology:

Alphas posses scent glands, the scent they produce is more dominant or masculine than the one Omegas produce. A scent can help people identify an Alpha, since every Alpha has a very distinct and unique scent.

Through their scent, Alphas can let other people know what they're feeling. They can also attract Omegas with their scent, as well as repel them if they wish. They can also cover Omegas with their scent by rubbing their bodies together or lending them their clothes, usually jumpers or jackets, to protect them from other Alphas.

An Alpha can release pheromones to help an Omega relax or calm down if they are upset, sad or stressed.

Alphas can use commands or their Alpha Voice on Betas and Omegas, other Alphas are immune to this. The Alpha voice is a deeper voice that comes from their inner wolf and forces Betas and Omegas to obey, even if they don't want to. Betas and Omegas cannot refuse a command made by an Alpha, except on rare occasions when their inner wolf feels like it needs to.
