But before anyone could answer, they heard a low growl emanating from the corner of the room. They turned to see a shadowy figure, its eyes blazing with a malevolent light. The ghost was still there, and it was more furious than ever.

Without warning, the ghost lunged at the investigator, its icy fingers wrapped around his throat. He struggled to break free, but the ghost's grip was too strong.

Anna and her family watched in horror as the investigator was thrown across the room, his body hitting the wall with a sickening thud.

They rushed to his side, but it was clear that he was gravely injured. Blood pooled around him, and his breaths came in short, ragged gasps.

"We have to get him to a hospital," Anna said, panic rising in her voice. But the ghost was still there, and it was not done with them yet. It began to materialize before their eyes, its twisted form filling the room with a suffocating dread.

Anna and her family recoiled in terror as the ghost charged at them. It let out a terrifying scream that sent shivers down their spines.

Anna braced herself for impact, her heart pounding in her chest. But just as the ghost was about to reach her, it disappeared into thin air.

Anna let out a shaky breath, feeling the weight of the encounter settle on her. She had never experienced anything like this before, and she didn't know if she could handle it again.

But there was no time to dwell on her fear. They had to find a way to put an end to this haunting once and for all.

Anna and her family rushed the investigator to the nearest hospital, hoping that the doctors could save his life. The drive there was a blur, with Anna's mind racing with thoughts of what had just happened.

Once they arrived, the medical staff took the investigator into the emergency room. Anna and her family waited anxiously, praying that he would pull through.

After what felt like an eternity, a doctor emerged from the room. He looked solemn as he approached them, and Anna's heart sank.

"I'm sorry," the doctor said, "but the injuries he sustained were too severe. We did everything we could, but he didn't make it."

Anna felt tears welling up in her eyes as the reality of what had happened set in. They had lost the investigator, someone who had risked his life to help them.

But they still had to deal with the ghost. Anna and her family knew that they couldn't give up now, that they had to find a way to banish it once and for all.

They decided to seek out the local priest, hoping that he could help them. When they arrived at the church, they were greeted by the priest, a kind-looking man with a serene expression.

Anna explained their situation, telling him everything that had happened. The priest listened intently, nodding as she spoke.

"I see," he said when she finished. "It sounds like this ghost is quite powerful. But fear not, for with faith and determination, we can banish it from this world."

Together, they began to formulate a plan. The priest gathered a group of people from the community, all of whom were willing to help.
