(Your p.o.v)

     I was sitting in my classroom preparing for the next class of students to arrive to my art class. I started as the art teacher at Abbott 2 weeks ago and so far have really only been aquainted with Janine, Jacob and Ava because Janine likes to talk when she drops off her class and I accidentally bumped into Jacob in the hallway and he started a conversation and Ava because she hired me of course and showed me around on my first day. Of course I knew all the other teachers names because Ava had told me when she was showing me around on my first day, but I have never talked to any of them. The next class I have coming in is Ms. Schemmenti's second graders which is making me slightly nervous. Not because I don't like the class because I do I absolutely adore them, but because of Melissa. I've had a crush on her since I started two weeks ago and we made eye contact through the door of her classroom as Ava showed me around. Normally all the teachers besides Janine like to just stand in the hall and usher their kids into my classroom then leave when all the kids are inside, but Melissa likes to walk inside with the kids and watch the beginning of my class before she leaves. It makes me nervous having her eyes on me because of my crush and the fact she never says anything to me she just watches. I had already set out paper and regular pencils on each of the desks and was working on getting the other art supplies out of the cabinet when the door opened and I heard the voices of the kids and Melissa as she ushers them into the room and to their seats. I smiled and grabbed the art supplies putting them on my desk then I turned around to greet all the students. When all the students were sitting in their seats I said, "Hey everyone today you are gonna draw whatever you want let your creativity flow, but before we start I am going to be walking around and asking what art supplies you want to use for the day." All the kids nodded and I grabbed the bucket of art supplies and walked around the class talking to each kid and asking which supplies they wanted. After I was done talking to one kid I stood up from where I had been kneeling next to a student and started to walk to the next student, but I tripped over something and started to fall forward.

     I knew I wouldn't have time to stop myself from falling so I just braced myself for the faceplant that was about to happen. Two hands on my hips steadied me and pulled me upright. I looked up and smiled at Melissa who had stopped me from falling, "Oh thanks Melissa I didn't think you were still here." She smiled and said, "Oh no yeah I was just leaving, but I wasn't gonna let you fall on your face." I nodded and she removed her hands from my hips and walked out of the room. I bit my lip then shook my head to clear it of all thought before I turned back to the kids and asked the last few students what they wanted. When every kid had their supplies I sent the ones who picked paint as their supplies to the back of the class to grab a apron to put over their uniforms so they didn't get dirty. Right when I was about let the class start drawing one of the kids said, "Ms. Y/L/N Jordyn is bleeding." I sighed and walked over to Jordyn and saw him holding a pair of scissors in one hand and a cut on the other hand. I knelt down to his height and said, "Jordyn what happened?" He looked at me, "Well I was trying to cut my paper, but I missed the paper and got my hand instead." I nodded, "Okay, but I didn't even give out any scissors today because we were focusing on drawing and coloring." He nodded and said, "I know I brought them with me from Ms. Schemmenti's classroom." I rubbed a hand over my face and said, "Okay. Give me the scissors and lets go to the nurse." I stood up and he handed me the scissors and we walked over to the classroom door. While we stood by the classroom door I turned to the rest of class and said, "Everyone please stay in your seats. I'll be back soon just going to drop Jordyn at the nurse." They all nodded and I walked out of the room with Jordyn and towards the nurses office.

(Melissa's p.o.v)

     I was walking to the library to get some books for my kids to read when they get back from art class. I saw Y/N walking out of the nurses office with Jordyn and walked up to them saying, "What happened?" Y/N looked at me and said, "Oh Jordyn took some scissors out of your room and to my room and he accidentally cut himself with them. I brought him here to get a bandaid and now we are heading back to class." I nodded and said, "I'll keep a better eye on the scissors in my room before I bring them to you next time." She nodded and smiled at me. I started to walk away, but she said, "Wait take your scissors." I turned and she was holding out a pair of scissors towards me. I grabbed them and said, "Thanks." She nodded and turned to walk to her classroom. I watched her walk down the hall and gently bit my lip as I watched her hips sway. I have had a small crush on the younger teacher since Ava first introduced her to all of us two weeks ago. I shook my head and turned around walking to the library. When I got to the library Barbara was standing outside and we started to talk about our classes. She left after a while having to get her books back to her class and I walked into the library and started to look through all the books trying to decide which books to bring back for the kids.
