I walked into the potions classroom to find professor Snape sitting at his desk grading papers as per usual. "Good evening professor." I greeted him. "Afternoon miss L/N" he replied as he gave a me a slight glance. I sat my books on my table and shifted them slightly to make them perfect. I took a seat on my stool and pulled my 'Advanced Potion Making' book in front of me. I'm greatfull that professor Snape helped me jot down a few notes in here.
The sound of footsteps makes me look up from the book. I see the one and only Draco Malfoy walk in the room. "You finally show up, Mr Malfoy." Snape sneers at the blond. "Take a seat next to Miss L/N and get to studying. I've got to leave for a moment." He says as he sits up from his chair which creeks slightly. Draco let's out a small groan as he walks over to me. "What page?" He asked as he sat down. "207." I replied.
Draco flipped the pages of his book until he reached the one he desired. "Draught of living death? I've already made this." He said slightly confused. "And failed miserably, no offense." I chuckled. "How do you know?!" He asked slightly angered. "I've been in potions with you since first year. Not that you've noticed anyway." I sighed as i turned and walked away towards the ingredients. "You coming?" I ask.
His footsteps echoed behind me as he walked closer and closer. "What do i need?" He asked. "Well first get your cauldron. I thought you at least knew the basics." I teased. He glanced at me as he put his cauldron on the table. He walked back over to the ingredients and looked at me to tell him what he needed. "5oz Asphodel, 3oz wormwood, 10.5fl oz sloth brain, Valerian Roots and finally 12 sopophorus beans." I say to him while i read the ingredients making sure i haven't forgotten anything.
"Alright, it's all you now." I sighed as i walked over to the table he began to work at. I jumped up and sat on it as i watched him. He picked up his knife about to cut the bean but i stopped him. "Don't cut it." I stop him. He looks at the book and then me. "But it says to cut it?" He says confused. "Smash it with the blade." I explain. He stared at me for a moment before going back to his work.

Professor Snape strutted into the room with his cape flowing behind him. "He's done, professor." I informed the long haired man before he sat down. Snape came over to us and looked in the cauldron. He pulled a leaf out of his pocket and dropped it in. I smiled as it shriveled up inside.
"You both are dismissed." Snape said as he picked up the cauldron. Me and Draco grabbed our books and walked out of the classroom.
It was a bit awkward while walking back to the dormitory but thankfully it wasn't that long of a walk. We went inside and Draco collapsed on the couch. I looked around and everyone seemed to be sleeping in there rooms. I look back at Draco who is adjusting in a new position. He glances up at me but looks away when his eyes meet mine.
That's the first time I've noticed how blue his eyes where. Beautiful. "You have very pretty eyes" i blurt out. I immediately regretted saying that. He shot his head towards me. "What?" He asks confused. I'm hesitant to say it again but he just stares at me eagerly. "What did you say?" He asks sounding a bit desperate. "You have very pretty eyes." I say just loud enough for him to hear.
His mouth opens slightly as if he wants to say something but nothing comes out. He look away and stands up from the couch. He quickly walks away and up the stairs that leads to the boy's dormitory. 'Did i say something wrong?' I thought to myself. I grab my books and walk over to the steps that creek loudly at i walk up them. I make my way down the hall until i get to my room. I open the dark wooden door and see that the rest of the girls are sleeping.
I gently close the door behind me and make my way to my bed. I set my books down on my nightstand. I sit on my bed and slip off my shoes and robe. I set down my robe next to me on the bed neatly. I stand back up and change into my sleepwear. I practically fall into bed and pull the blankets over me. I wonder what Draco's problem was. Did i say something wrong?
