Y/N had never been good at confronting her feelings head-on, especially when it came to Beomgyu. She had tried to forget him, to push his memory out of her mind, but she found herself thinking of him more often than she cared to admit. Every time her phone buzzed with a new message from him, she would feel a pang of guilt mixed with frustration. She wanted to reply, to tell him that she forgave him and that everything was okay, but something always held her back. Perhaps it was fear, or maybe it was simply the pain of reliving the past that kept her from responding.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. She was still angry, but she also missed him. Beomgyu's messages became less frequent, but he never stopped trying to reach her. Y/N tried her best to move on, to focus on her studies and her hobbies, but the memories of her brother and the accident always lingered in the back of her mind.

Soobin frequently came to her house. He would bring over her favorite foods and watch movies with her, trying to make her laugh and forget her troubles, if only for a little while. He would also take her out for walks and to do fun activities, like playing games at the arcade or going to the beach.

But despite his best efforts, he could see that Y/N was still hurting. He knew that her heart was still with Beomgyu, and it pained him to see her suffer. He couldn't help but wonder if things would have been different if Beomgyu had never come back into their lives.

Soobin tried to push these thoughts aside and focused on being there for Y/N. He wanted to be a source of comfort and support for her, no matter what. He knew that their friendship was strong and that they would always be there for each other, even in the darkest of times.

One day they were watching a movie in Y/N's living room when Y/N suddenly talked, she looked so small and sad.

"Soobin, do you think I'll ever be able to forgive him?" Y/N asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Soobin immediately knew who she was talking about, "I don't know, Y/N. Forgiveness is a personal thing. It's up to you to decide if you're ready to forgive him or not," Soobin replied, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Y/N nodded, but didn't say anything. She felt so conflicted. On one hand, she wanted to move on from the pain of losing her brother and the betrayal of Beomgyu's involvement. But on the other hand, she couldn't shake the feeling that Beomgyu deserved to suffer for what he had done.

As the night wore on, Soobin stayed with Y/N, keeping her company as she tried to process everything. Eventually, they settled down to watch a movie together. Y/N couldn't help but cry as she watched the film, her thoughts drifting back to Beomgyu.

"I feel so lonely," Y/N admitted, while wiping away her tears, she snuggled into Soobin, seeking for comfort, "But I'm grateful to have you here with me, Soobin."

Soobin's heart skipped a beat as he heard her words. He had loved Y/N for so long, but had never wanted to act on those feelings out of respect for her and the pain she had gone through. But now, as he watched her cry, he felt a powerful urge to comfort her in any way he could.

He started to lean in, his heart racing, but stopped himself before their lips could meet.

"I need to tell you something, Y/N"

Soobin took a deep breath and began to tell Y/N about how he met Beomgyu. "When I met Beomgyu, he looked like a zombie," he started, "He hadn't been able to sleep for a long time since the accident. He was traumatized, and he even developed nyctophobia because the accident happened at night."

Y/N's heart sank as she listened to Soobin's words. She remembered how Beomgyu got so scared when they got in the cave. She couldn't imagine the pain and guilt Beomgyu must have been feeling all these years. Soobin continued, "He frequently went to psychiatric clinics to make himself feel better, but the guilt is still there and it's not healed."

Y/N felt a lump form in her throat as she thought about what Beomgyu must have gone through. She realized that while she had been holding onto her pain and anger for so long, Beomgyu had been suffering in his own way too. "I have no idea... I can't imagine what he must have been going through," she whispered.

Soobin paused, trying to find the right words to express the pain that Beomgyu had been going through. "The guilt he felt was unbearable, Y/N. He blamed himself for what happened to your brother. It's something he carries with him every single day, and I don't think it will ever fully heal."

Y/N listened intently, feeling a mixture of emotions. She was grateful that Soobin was sharing this with her, but also devastated to hear about the toll that the accident had taken on Beomgyu. It was clear to her that he had been suffering greatly, even more than she had imagined.

"Did he ever talk about me?" she asked softly, feeling a twinge of guilt for not replying to his messages.

Soobin nodded. "Yes, he did. He wanted to apologize to you, to make amends for what happened. He's been trying to find you for a long time, but he didn't know how to reach you."

She felt terrible. She thought she was the only one got hurt. She had no idea Beomgyu suffered too.

Suddenly her phone rang.

Y/N's heart skipped a beat when she saw Beomgyu's name on her phone screen. She hesitated for a moment, unsure if she was ready to face him after all this time. But she knew deep down that it was time to set things right.

As she picked up the phone, Beomgyu's voice quivered with emotion. He had been waiting for this moment for months, hoping against hope that Y/N would find it in her heart to forgive him. Y/N could hear the pain in his voice and realized that he had been suffering too.

Y/N made the decision to meet Beomgyu. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she wanted to face him and forgive him for what had happened. She wanted to free herself from the pain and anger that had been holding her back for so long.
