After some time with the Shield, you went for a look around, it was still early in the evening, so most people hadn't arrived yet. You let the quiet bustle of the production crew center you as you re-adapted to your surroundings. It had been a long time since you stepped foot in a WWE venue, but an even longer time since you actually stepped foot in a ring.

You knew you were strong and you felt ready, but it was still nerve wracking to be back in a place that you weren't sure you belonged anymore, surrounded by strange people and a whole new attitude.

You were just about to walk down to the ring when a voice caught your attention, "(Y/N)?"

You focused and turned around, searching for the voice, it sounded familiar, but you couldn't place it. Your eyes finally landed on the source of the sound and your eyes could not believe who was in front of you.

His tanned skin and short hair were the same as you remember, but there was a smile on his face that you could never forget, "Randy?"

He smiled and wrapped you in a tight hug, before pulling away and standing a respectful distance from your side. "What are you doing here?" he asked, "I haven't seen you in ages."

You nodded but then shook your head, "I can't tell you why I am here," you said with a teasing smile, "but it is good to see you."

FLASHBACK

You heard the familiar sound of DX entrance music as you stood backstage with Hunter and Shawn. Shawn looked between you in confusion, "we're not supposed to have a match tonight, right?"

You laughed, "not that I know of."

Hunter nodded to a screen above the catering table, "the clowns are at it again."

You and Shawn both followed Hunter's gaze to the television screen and laughed as you saw Edge and Randy Orton dressed as Hunter and Shawn making their way to the ring. "Idiots," you muttered.

"Hey, Hunter," Shawn said, hitting him on the arm, "I've got an idea."

Hunter nodded, "what's that Shawn?"

Shawn leans away from you slightly to speak softer in Hunter's ear, "we should send (Y/N) out there to knock some sense into them."

Hunter and Shawn both looked at you. "What are you up to?" you asked suspiciously.

Hunter slung his arm around Shawn's shoulders, "Shawn thinks you should go out there."

Shawn looked back at him in shock, "don't throw me under the bus!"

You shook your head, "I am not going out there, Randy and Edge are the least of our worries."

"Come on," Hunter urged, "Randy likes you."

"He does not," you said with a laugh, "not after I hit him with his own move a few weeks ago."

Shawn laughed, "yea that was kinda funny."

Hunter pulled you in closer, "come on, you know you want to."

You shrugged away from him, "I do not, now we should really be focusing on our match tonight."

"Nah, I would rather wing it," Hunter explained.

"It's not like we really need to worry about Shane and Vince anyway," Shawn added.

You and Hunter shared a look, "Shawn, that match is at Summerslam," Hunter explained.

"Tonight is the match against Big Show and Kurt Angle" you added.

Shawn looked at you and Hunter in confusion, "isn't tonight Summerslam?"

You laughed and Shawn just looked confused. Hunter wrapped an arm around your shoulders, "here's the deal, I'll take care of Shawn back here and strategize for the match, and you go out there and put an end to the clowns."

You rolled your eyes, "fine, but you owe me Hunter, and I mean big time, you know I can't stand them."

Hunter nodded and gestured to one of the production crew members, "hit our music."

Ring Announcers POV

DX music fills the arena as shouts of excitement come from the crowd. "I don't think DX is very happy with Rated-RKO mocking them," Jerry said.

"Can you blame them, King?" Michael responded.

"Oh wait, it looks like (Y/N) is coming out solo," Jerry said, "I'm not sure that's a smart move on DX's part."

"I don't know, King," Michael added, "a few weeks ago (Y/N) did hit Randy Orton with an RKO out of nowhere."

"It was a lucky shot," Jerry explained, "Randy sure won't let it happen again."

—------------------------------

You grabbed a mic from ringside and joined Edge and Randy in the ring. Before you could speak, Edge interrupted, "are Triple H and Shawn really that afraid that they sent you out alone?"

Randy held his hand up, "now wait a minute Edge, maybe we should hear what she has to say."

You nodded and looked at both of them, "Hunter and Shawn are preparing for their match later on tonight, but don't worry, I am more than capable of handling you too clowns on my own," you said, gripping Randy's shoulder condescending.

Edge and Randy's mouths dropped open, but you continued, "I really don't know what you're hoping to accomplish, mocking DX isn't going to get you what you want," you said the words staring straight at Randy, but it was Edge that responded.

"And what do we want?" he asked, moving so his face was inches from yours.

You remained unphased as you stared into the eyes of the rated R superstar, but eventually you turned, looking over his shoulder at Randy, "to be noticed."

Randy said nothing, but his eyes never left yours. Eventually Edge noticed the tension and moved next to Randy, slinging an arm over his shoulders, "unfortunately, tonight we were just a distraction, bait," Edge explained, "but DX being the cowards they are, ruined it."

Music filled the arena again and Big Show's music flooded your ears, closely followed by Kurt Angle, slowly making their way to ringside. Edge pulled on Randy's arm as you turned your attention to the new threat.

"Hold on," Randy said softly so only Edge could hear him, "the plan was to lure DX out for them, not (Y/N)."

Edge shook his head, "look man I don't really like serving her up for them either, but I am also not going to get on their bad side."

Randy hesitated, but eventually let Edge pull him from the ring and out through the crowd.

Ring Announcers POV

"It looks like Rated-RKO just served (Y/N) of DX up on a silver platter for their opponents later on tonight," Jerry explained, "she looks ready to fight alone, but against that??"

"It looked like Randy Orton was having second thoughts about this plan," Cole added, "I don't think he wanted to leave her alone in the ring."

Jerry chuckled lightly, "I don't care how pretty a woman is, I wouldn't have stood against the Big Show and Kurt Angle."
