"Do you know where we're going?" Mizuki asked MEIKO, who nodded back firmly.

"I've been with Ena a lot, so I was able to remember her scent a little. Not fully, but it somewhat helps."

Mizuki smiled. "Why are you so honest with me anyway?"

"There's no specific reason why I shouldn't be. If I wanted to lie, I would. But I don't need to right now."

"Hmm.." Mizuki turned their attention in front of them. They didn't like silence them and MEIKO were in, so they continued talking. "I like the snow."

MEIKO slowly looked up at the snowflakes and turned her gaze back. "Looks like a blizzard might start."

Damn, Mizuki thought about the mood killer. "Make sure you, Ena and the others get home safely," MEIKO continued. She seemed to really care in a pretty harsh but sweet way, so Mizuki left it alone and nodded, despite MEIKO not seeing them.

"M-MEIKO..." they started. "Where did your friends go?"

"Left for...unnecessary purposes."

"Why didn't you go with them?"

MEIKO silently sighed. "They didn't believe that the world could change. They were right...but the way they want to change the world is not right..."

"What do they want to do?"

"Destroy the world and create a new one," MEIKO said quickly. "I said it's an option but the worst one possible but they believe that we'll all just be reborn but...I called them insane." She suddenly stopped walking and Mizuki stopped with her, rubbing her shoulder for support. "They called me insane for getting attached to you, but I found out that that can happen to us. I don't know what it is...but I'm stressed."

"That's why...I see," Mizuki sighed. "MEIKO...—"

"Mizuki!!" A familiar voice called. Before Mizuki could react, Ena crashed them into the snow, putting them in a tight embrace.

Mizuki winces in pain but forces a smile to hope that she doesn't notice. MEIKO noticed though, "Ena, please be easy on them. They're not in good shape."

Ena gasped, looking up and MEIKO and getting off Mizuki. "When did you get here? Wait, if they're not in good shape...," Ena turned to Mizuki, "...why are you out here?"

"I-I wanted to look for you," Mizuki slightly blushed, looking away. "MEIKO just appeared, like she always does."

There was a couple seconds of silence before Mizuki spoke again. "Uh, where's Mafuyu and Kanade?"

"They were behind me just now—" Ena turned. Mafuyu immediately ran to Mizuki and hugged them gently.

"Welcome back Mizuki," Kanade smiled, "I'm so glad you're okay...I thought we lost you."

"Nothing can kill me Kanade!~" Mizuki smiled as Ena rolled her eyes. "M-Mafuyu, you're squeezing me...!"

But Mafuyu didn't let go. MEIKO smiled, thinking. They have friends that wouldn't leave them...but...how will it end for them if my friends get what they want?

"MEIKO..." Mizuki called, ruffling Mafuyu's hair. MEIKO immediately looked up. Ena, Kanade, Mafuyu...and Mizuki. They all had a look of desire that MEIKO could not describe. "What you told me, I can't imagine how you feel right now, but it's probably heartbreaking. You've been here for me, let me help you."

"Me too!" Ena beamed. MEIKO went into a freak out.

"You're already in bad shape right now and what I'm trying to do could be highly dangerous...you already lost one of your horns."

"That's in the past!~" Mizuki smiled, "In all seriousness, I don't care how dangerous this is. Whatever happens...happens. It's better to stop them then let them destroy our world for power, they're your friends."

"DESTROY OUR WORLD???" Ena gasped.

"You're missing out," Mizuki teased.

MEIKO was thinking about it but she felt like she didn't have to think. She didn't want Mizuki and the others in what she was going through but it was too late now. She told Mizuki everything and there was no turning back, especially because of Mizuki's determination. They have character development...MEIKO can't see their cowardice anymore.

Finally, she sighed. "Are you sure? Do you know what you're getting yourself into?!" Deep down, she knew that her anxiety was rising, but it easily went down when she saw Mizuki's lack in taking this seriously.

"Positive!~" they smiled, earning an eye roll from MEIKO and Ena. "But...uh...how are we going to do this?"

MEIKO frowned. She really didn't want to do this at all. "Meet me...here again. Tomorrow morning—"

"Morning?! I can't wake up up early!" Ena complained.

"Sorry, her off button is broken..." Mizuki miserably sighed, teasing. Once they saw Ena's pissed reaction, they smirked and laughed at her.

"Tomorrow afternoon then. Just meet me here and I'll see if I made up my mind," MEIKO finished. By a blink of an eye, she was gone.

Mizuki's smile dropped after MEIKO's exit.

"Something on your mind?" Mafuyu caught their eye, but they shook their head in response. "Come on, lean on me. You shouldn't  be walking in this state."

"Mafuyuuuuu, I'm fine!"

"I don't care, lean. Now."

Mizuki swore under their breath and began to lean on Mafuyu.

"You and MEIKO were talking before...you said we were going to help her. With what exactly?" Kanade asked as they walked.

Mizuki wanted to answer, but their head was spinning with thoughts. Mafuyu said that they should give them some times and Kanade nodded. I agreed to help MEIKO...does that mean something? Mizuki thought.

Once they were inside the cabin, Ena dragged Mizuki to the couch. "Hey. You do know that your wounds are still serious right? Stop recklessly moving while you're in pain!"

Mizuki laughed at the worried hermit. "Enanan~ I got up to look for your beautiful face!~"

"Take me seriously!" Ena blushed, but that made Mizuki not take her seriously at all.

Mafuyu and Kanade walked over. "How are you feeling?" Mafuyu mumbled.

"Speak louder," Ena rolled her eyes.

"Blow me."

"I'm fine Mafuyu," Mizuki smiled faintly. "Don't be so worried, it's unlike you to be honest!"

Can't help it, Mafuyu thought. Kanade sat next to Mizuki on the couch. "I feel like it would've been more difficult here if you died...if I'm being completely honest, Mafuyu was extremely upset."

"K-Kanade, don't say so much," Mafuyu frowned as Kanade chuckled silently. "Ena was the same anyway—"

"Mafuyu, shut up!" Ena scowled. Mizuki smiled at how things was going back to normal. They didn't want everything to be about them though, so they didn't say anything.

But they knew that life would be over anyway, from the way that they are handling things. They forced a smile. "Tomorrow at the same spot, we help MEIKO. Maybe it could help us stay safe without trouble from now on."

Kanade and Mafuyu nodded. But Ena could sense the force in that smile.

Author's Note
